If you had to pick 5 animes that you would show to someone that had never watched anime before, which 5 would you choose ?

Genres does not matter for this list sins it is a personal preference :D

- Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
- The Magus' Bride
- Interviews With Monster Girls (this one's actually super cute, pls watch)
- K-On!
- Beastars
- Seton Academy (this one's kind of weird? but it's rlly enjoyable and the op also slaps)
- My Roommate is a Cat
- School Babysitters
- Quintessential Quintuplets
- How to Keep a Mummy

i'd list more but these are just a few I've watched that are rlly good tbh

Boku no hero academia, shingeki no kyojin, food wars, sword art online, assassination classroom, naruto (excet boruto), tokyo ghoul and one punch man were a few good ones.

mob psycho 100 ( great fights, great animation, prefer this over one punch man)
konosuba: gods blessings on this wonderful world (very funny)
dr.stone
tower of god
kaguya-sama: love is war
this breaks the 5 limit but have to mention oda cinnamon nobunaga as well (warring states japan era warlords get reincarnated as dogs in modern day japan)

Riri30, I need you to know that I tried. I read this comment two days ago, and I had to stop myself from commenting "OF COURSE THE STAFF MEMBER WATCHES THE ABSOLUTE DOGSHIT MY HERO AND SWORD ART ONLINE!" with every fiber of my strength. Riri, I lost, and I'm really sorry. Ban me, but I had to do this

7acespade, I need you to know that I felt the same way about your profile picture. Glad I didn’t say anything, though. To be fair, I can understand why people say Sword art is shit, but My Hero is defendable.

My Hero isn't defendable. The problem with My Hero is that it is completely inoffensive in every way possible. It good, but it does nothing bad, and nothing spectacular. Its a show with 7/10's across the board.

The best shows only need to nail a couple 9/10's, but the best things about them are the few new things they try and, most the time, fail. This is how you make something worthwhile.

There's a really obvious reason why only people new to anime, and people who would unironically suggest sword art online to people, like My Hero. It's criminally inoffensive, doesn't dare at all, and does nothing new.

"Professional Napper" made the post

1. Fairy Tail (bae)
2. Tokyo Ghoul
3. Parasite: The Maxim
4. Sword Art Online (First Arc, can forget the rest)
5. The Seven Deadly Sins

JoJo's bizarre adventure
Dr. Stone
Code Geass
Boku no Hero academia
Steins;Gate (you gotta be patient in the beginning it's boring)
Attack on Titan & Knights of Sidonia (same genre, AoT has more seasons)

I have thought about this for a wile and i think i would recommend in order.

1. Attack On Titan
So why would i recommend this for someone just starting to watch anime? Well, Attack On Titan is a action filled anime with episodes that gives you a good mix of tension and suspense. For each episode i watched i felt like i was putting together a puzzle, and it felt like the series at a notable bases gave you just enough information to keep you watching. But not so much information that you couldn't make theories of what was going on.

2. Mobile Suit Gun dam: Iron-Blooded Orphans
This is one of my favorite animes so i am a bit biased here, but i truly believe that this anime is a bit underrated. I feel that this anime has a dark wibe where you are watching factions fight for their believes to become reality. Mari Okada is the writer of the series, so people usually love the style she uses or just straight out hates it. The drama and the tension she builds throughout the series is thrilling and who doesn't love a good bashing in space between robots. If you haven't seen this one, you should definitely drop what you are doing and watch season 1 and 2.

3. Saga of Tanya the Evil
I feel like this anime just takes the cake, it feels like you are watching a science experiment where everything is stacked against the subject. It's one of those animes where the main character is cold, calculated and mixed with a sprinkle of insanity.

4. Hunter X Hunter
So this anime might not be the greatest anime for people that are just starting to watch anime. But some might like it, it really depends on what kind of things you like to watch. So the reasoning i put behind this one is that it is a long anime that has great character building. The action draws you in, and the battles get more and more exciting when the characters get stronger. It has some dramatic moments, and i can't forget the moments when characters loose control #anger...

5. Code Geass
So the final anime i would recommend is Code Geass. If you like the underdog destroying the much stronger enemy then this might be something. Action packed with fighting, drama and loss, this might be one of the best animes i have seen. (of course, that is my opinion....) If you like bigger army diplomacy this might be something you will like. It will pull you in to the cold calculated mind of the main character, and push you over the edge to insanity lol. Take a look and hope you like this one.

Well as stated this is just my opinion on some starters people should watch, i love all of them. But you might not, have a good evening guys and i will be back on forums again in the future :D
