I think gays are awesome, brave people. Having low self confidence, i would never be able to do something so bold. Gays have every right to find love as staight people do.

There's a reason we don't mix church and state. Haven't you heard? Why are you claiming that laws are already based on religion? Why are you saying that someone's opinion is wrong simply because that's what they believe?

Now, since you brought religion into this, I'll state blatantly that my religion tells me being homosexual (or "gay" which is a stupid term to try to insult someone with... I mean, really? It means happy, like wtf who came up with this???) is wrong.
But guess what?
It also tells me that I cannot judge others. That's between God and them. I can't have a problem with gay people, and don't, because from my experience, many of them are extremely understanding, kind, and helpful, as a lot of kids who have been bullied are.

Quite frankly, anyone who isn't homosexual really can't argue about homosexuality being innate or not because, well, they don't know.
Yet... at the same time, being homosexual has almost become a fad... who knows.

Well let me tell you guys this, there is no legal definition of a religion(go ahead go the library or a book store and look it up in a Marriam Webster's legal dictionary and show people here proof that there is no legal definition), so you can literally go say that you're (insert new religion name here ist) and that anyone that believes that according to their religion that being LGBTQA+ is a sin, is not only condemned to eternity in your religion's hell, but that their soul is split into one thousand+ different different pieces, so their suffering will be a thousand+ times greater than what they say is going to happen to you when you die.

Side note, I'm becoming a lawyer just so I can sue as many a holes that think they can in any form bully kids of any orientation and get away with it, I may not be able to send them all away, though I can certainly at least pay for the kids that they've tormented's therapy bills for a year or two with the money. Bully is poor? I guess they should've thought of what can happen to them when they get sued for tens of thousands of dollars, before they laughed at doing *insert horrible thing here* to someone.
Not even that much money, no problem, I hope they like over crowded juvies with kids that were put in there because of them beating the crap out of a homophobic tool bag that hit them for years, and was not able to get the bully in trouble. (This sadly happens due to courts siding with the bully, because it's hard to convey years of mental abuse in mere words)

Also there's a funny video my friend sent me once that was a comedy group singing the real life study that while no where near PG (I wish I could find the video to send to people that would ask for it, but wow it was NOT PG) basically proved that the people who are homophobic are like 95% of the time secretly or are probably gay. Ok, last paragraph attached to a already huge wall of text and double post merging I swear.

I notice a lot of bills against gay rights being passed, but what about like mistressmacabre said, clothes made of unnatural synthesized fibers, why are there no laws being passed banning those because those are against the bible? Why aren't there any campaigns to raise money to ban those kinds of clothes from states? How come I see bigotry against something that's easy to get done, and doesn't affect the law makers, yet there is no biggotry when it comes to something that would not allow them to wear their fancy 2k+$ outfit that's cosy to wear to meetings.
Where is the bill that according to the bible should be done without question, about a married woman grabbing some guy in a place she shouldn't, having her hand cut off? WHERE IS THIS BILL, IT'S IN THE BIBLE ISN'T IT? DOESN'T THAT MEAN THAT IT SHOULD BE THE LAW? OH, AND LETS NOT FORGET THE PART ABOUT PAYING YOUR SLAVE EVERY WEDNESDAY, CAN'T DO IT? THEN GET A SLAVE..OOPS THAT'S A NONO IN THE EYE'S OF THE US, MY BAD, IT'S JUST IN THE BIBLE, AND SHOULD THEREFOR BE LAW.

Before someone mentions the bible being against gay rights etc, and therefore the gays are going to hell one more time, consider the above. I can keep this on for days. (I actually can, I have an entire word document filled with these, and entire paragraphs of this stuff : D )

 

All I'll say is that the kid who'd always make fun of me for being gay in middle school ended up being gay himself.

 

Let's complain about 95 cents to the dollar and ignore various qualifications and traits that make up that difference
Let's also ignore how women are statistically more likely to be accepted into universities and stem field careers than men.

No, that's a great way to outsource corporations to other countries. Paying someone less than another colleague who does the same work, with the same qualifications and skill level based on their gender is illegal, and any reasonable suspicion of illegal activity is subject to investigation, and if found guilty of such activity, prosecution.

Having a hard time understanding how you can call someone who fought for civil rights in the 1960's, voted against the Iraq War AND predicted many of it's consequences (like the government not sustaining itself, others countries thinking it's okay to annex other countries such as Russia with Ukraine/Crimea, the people starting an uprising and getting out of control), and rejects money from people and corporations known to do 'questionable' practices a "retard".

Quite frankly, I have to question if you even know anything about Bernie Sanders besides the word "socialist" that you probably see on your who-the-hell-knows-where-you-get-your-information-from sources.

He has a pretty comprehensive tax plan. It's all available on his website if you ever want to check it out. Cost isn't so much a worry. I would hardly call him a radical. He's been an independent most of his time in congress and his views align fairly well with the Democratic Party. As for soft communism, he's far from it.

$15 minimum wage is a part where I agree with you on. It should be raised but not to $15. Though, I really don't think he would manage to get it that high anyways.

He's only 5 years older than Donald Trump. Many congressmen work till their 80's. He could serve 2 full terms and be 83, which is a time where many congressmen start retiring.

You may be surprised to find out Bernie Sanders isn't as left-leaning on gun control as most Democrats are. Some even criticize him because he has supported pro-gun bills in the past.

 

If someone is necroing for a good reason, such as bringing an old topic back that recently became relevant again, then I'd say go for it. I do, however, dislike people who necro for the sole purpose of being immature. Such as necroing an old introduction for no reason. I don't necessarily think it should be banned because the rules can't really pick out who is necroing for a reason and who is necroing just to be immature.

 

This is a frightening step against civil liberties from our friends across the pond. The notion that clothing is banned in America is nearly unthinkable, regardless of connotations.

This individual example is not frightening, but the slope it makes certainly is. Come on, the French has been almost the most zealous in the pursuit of freedom. If their citizenry do not support freedom, then it deserves the tyranny.

I wouldn't say that having a majority of scientists believing something makes it true. For example, the vast majority of scientists in the 1400's believed in the geocentric solar system. We obviously scoff at the notion now, but it happens. I am not really involved in the global warming debate itself, just due to a lack of interest in debating the topic.

As all of you most likely know, I am a right wing conservative. Even though I am 16 and I cannot vote, my overall candidate I wanted to win was Ben Carson. Unfortunately since he dropped from the race, my second choice is Donald Trump. I would vote for Donald Trump to win the Republican primary for a couple of reasons where I agree with his policies even though I do not agree with him on all of his policies.

Some of the reasons that I want him to win are:

-Education: @Deinen and everyone else. I believe that universal education can be a good thing but in having universal education, you run the risk of diminishing the overall quality of the education. I like how Trump says that higher education and education in general is the most important thing. I believe that it should be on the local level and not on the government level.

-Veteran Affairs: I believe that we as a country need to do a better job taking care of our veterans. They are the men and women who have fought and served for our country to try to maintain peace and stability in the world as a whole. I believe that it is absolutely ridiculous that over 300,000 veterans have died waiting for care from the V.A. and that an estimated 45,ooo veterans are homeless every night.

-Taxes and Economics: I believe that the United States needs to prevent companies from outsourcing to countries such as India, China, Taiwan, etc. so that we can increase the amount of jobs in the country and reinvigorate our economy. I also believe that taxes should be cut down or at least not raised due to many middle-lower class families not being able to make ends meet. I also believe that the government does not do a very good job with using the money collected through taxes. In the words of Ronald Reagan, "Government is like a baby. An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no responsibility at the other." Another thing I believe is that the US government needs to lower the overall national debt. Many people would say debt is a good thing and I do believe that it is in moderation but it isn't a good thing when someone has over $19,000,000,000 in debts to others. The only time the US government has ever been "debt free" was back in 1835 during President Andrew Jackson's presidency.

-2nd Amendment Rights: I believe that every citizen of the United States has the right to bear arms and to defend themselves. Every day I am saddened by the news of another shooting but I believe that if every eligible citizen had a firearm (similar to Switzerland) that their would be a decrease in crime due to everyone being armed. If you were to restrict guns and ban them, then only criminals and police would have them which would mean that all of the citizens would be unable to defend themselves if a police officer could not get there in time. I also believe that the police are meant to protect us from criminals and that they are doing their best to maintain law and order in this country.

Some of the policies that I do not agree with or am split on the decision:

-Immigration: I believe that the US should not ban all Muslims from entering for ever but rather that we need to put into place better ways of processing immigrants so that we can maintain stability in the country without banning whole majorities of people from entering. I also believe that Trump's wall idea might be a bit far fetched but that we do need to increase security along the US-Mexico border. As a highschooler, I believe that drugs are a major problem in the US and that we need to

-Foreign Policy: @Deinen and everyone else. This is one of the policies that I am split on. I believe that US military intervention has been a good thing in some situations but in other places, it has made the situation worse. I am very bias on this opinion due to being born there but I believe that one of the places where US military intervention took place and was a good thing was in the Korean War. If the US and the U.N. hadn't entered the conflict I would not be sitting here in the middle of the US writing this opinion. Although since they did intervene, South Korea has gone on to become one of the most prosperous countries in Asia with the help of US financial aid after the Korean War. On the other hand, one of the major areas that I believe US military intervention has made the situation worse is in certain areas of the Middle East.

Health Care: I believe that right now we need to replace Obamacare because it is a mess. I do believe though that universal healthcare could be a very good thing if it does not lower the standard of healthcare and if it doesn't increase taxes (such as redirecting funds from other government programs which do not need as much). As a devout Roman Catholic and as an adoptee, I strongly oppose abortion due to religious and moral beliefs and first hand knowledge of what is possible if your biological mother cannot take care of you and decides against an abortion. In the words of J.R.R. Tolkien, "Even the smallest person can change the course of the future."

Sorry if this is a bore to read and if you do not agree with my opinion but hey, everyone has the ability to say what they believe even if others try to silence them so I would like to encourage all of you who have similar or different views on this presidential race to chime in and share your thoughts.
