Mar 26, 2014: MeepShop Major Update

Yeah, if you could just move this to the Report a Bug forum section,

that'd be great.

 

I don't have any confidence in the developers anymore. If you tell a community that you are releasing something soon, it should at least be CLOSE to ready..... It is over a week from the "release date" and still no sign of the shop, other than getting to try it in Olympics warp.
Yet, it was still not very user friendly and could end up being very confusing. A lot of the items are under different names than the current v-shop.

 

Im even more worried that they haven`t said anything about it yet. No threads at all...

 

They're probably testing it for exploitable things. Would you rather have the new shop open a couple days earlier or have a major unnoticed bug that leads to a server wipe? Although everyone wants to sell their things for instant cash, it's just not ready at the time, unfortunately.

 

They should not have had everyone remove all their v shop items. They should have completed the shop before telling us that it will be out a week ago.

If you have a deadline at a job and tell your boss that it will be done at a given time and miss it by a week, what do you think will happen to your job?
Not anything good I can say that much...

 

This isn't the devs jobs though... As far as I know they do not get paid. They're here to help you and they don't ask for anything in return. I'm sure they have lives out side of this game too.

I'm just as upset as anyone else, and I agree that they should make it first then set a deadline.


Just cut them a little slack.

 

They have been given slack, 2 weeks worth at this point. At least have the courtesy to formally provide an update, and an eta. If we had that I would be confident in putting my items up on shop until the next deadline.....

Oh wait, thats right, even with an eta and an update they'll just "SkyBlock Reset" the vshop. Well, nevermind on that front, still not going to have enough confidence to put my items up there.

Again, they've had 2 weeks of slack, the longer this goes on in silence the less confident everyone is going to be in the server and the less likely they're going to be to upgrade their rank

 

I would like to see you do better than these current techs.

 

You know.. if my comments seemed directed only to the techs, I made a mistake and I should try to be more verbose and constructive in my criticism.

I imagine the techs are doing the best they can with what they have, and any project like this, sadly, will take as long as it takes to get done.

I have been in their shoes, I'm no young kid, as you can probably tell from my posts all over the forums. I have had a boss push and pressure me into a deadline that was barely achievable with no regard for possible problems down the line. We see this impulsiveness across the server, case in point, resetting skyblock without notice and the random tinkering that goes on to cause various worlds to crash. So my concern is more the leadership than the worker bees. It's not the techs job to keep us up to date on progress, and its also not their job to make the contingency plans for implementation.

A new eta, with a guarantee of no earlier implementation than that, and a strong bias towards that eta overshooting the actual completion so that proper testing can be done would be essential in renewing my faith, and having me consider upgrading my rank.

Yea! It's up, and its got a great new minigames area and alot more room for growth, the new players are gonna love it.

Ohhhh, you're talking about meepshop, not spawn. I'm sorry, no, its not up.

 

Guess what guys? it didn't come out, more delays on top of that delay that going to have even more delays in the future so the economy even more stalled even though the server going to get about 100 mill threw into the server as soon as meepshop comes out.

 

With all this delay time and high prices, I would have been able to earn a lot of money!
