Intro:

Hello my name is Alex but in game I am known as SplendyPie! I have been playing on Meepcraft since September 2013. I have worked as staff upon many servers but recently have left them all as I feel like spending my time with Meepcraft is a lot more worthwhile. Joining meepcraft was probably one of the best decisions I have made and to keep at the server was even greater. I am a huge Gamer playing mainly Minecraft and Assassins Creed also I participate in a lot of sports like Rugby, Hockey and Tennis. I am in my schools rugby and Hockey team, in the Rugby team I am the captain whereas in the Hockey I am not being a part of those sports teams and having those different levels of control have taught me just how much a system is reliant on working together and I hope I could bring that experience into meep. Currently at the rank of Premium I currently just don’t have the money to donate although as much as I wish I do. I currently lost my job (I did market research for different companies) due to the fact I didn’t agree with something that my boss said, he was being extremely racist to another person and I couldn’t stand by and let that happen so I asked him to stop then after giving me a mouthful and I giving back he told me to leave and leave I did. I do not believe at all in any form of racial/sexist/hateful behaviour and would be sure to enforce that policy.

Why should I be Helper/Mod?

After making a large amount of friends on meepcraft and everyone here being so generous and helpful I feel like I want to give back to the community to help meepcraft be (hopefully) more awesome than it already is. I am not blind I know I am not very well known but I don’t play Meep for the attention I play for the sense of belonging I get when I am online Meep truly is just like one big family (most of the time a happy family J ) helping people out with their troubles is something that I love to do inside and outside Meep. Dealing with modreqs I have on all my previous staff rank servers tried to give each person there turn to speak as one of the worst thing a helper could do is wrongly ban a person. Setting up towns have given me a real sense of why I would wish to become a helper solving peoples problems helping them when they had issues was something I loved to do and still do I try to help out in server as much as possible and being a helper would be an extension of my ability to help letting me truly help people out.

Weaknesses:

1. First one straight off the bat I have some minor anger issues I don’t rage pointlessly but when I rage I rage like hell fire recently I got rather annoyed at a player after him telling me that quite a few of my family where killed by the CIA (long story) and that my brother then died fighting for “thin air” so yeah that really got me angry although I did not allow myself to get a ban some players told me to log off for a bit and do something to relieve the anger I am extremely thankful to those players and they saved me and the server a lot of trouble.

Ways I can work through that:

Taking a deep breath and realising that why the hell am I getting bothered by a bunch of pixels and figuring that as soon as I press disconnect or turn off in game chat they are gone that’s what I have been doing recently and that is what I intend to carry on doing

2. I also have mild dyslexia sometimes words get mixed up or I can’t read things properly but I can usually read things fine

Ways I can work through that:

Currently I am being taught ways to control and get by whenever I get stuck and I get better day by day hopefully I should be almost completely perfect in a few months’ time.

3. Although I am on TeamSpeak a fair bit now I find it extremely difficult to talk and always get extremely anxious on what people will think of me a month ago I couldn’t go on team speak as I couldn’t really talk due to breathing and throat issues (which are now resolved due to an operation I recently had) but I am trying to improve and am trying to get on team speak and get more involved.
Ways I can work through that:
I guess this one just takes time and I am ready to put forward all the time possible)

4. Last but not least my ban history I received a ban for X-Ray a few months ago after lending my account to a friend who couldn’t afford to buy one for themselves foolishly I trusted him letting him use my account was an extremely stupid move and one I regret even to this day hopefully the community can look past this huge error upon my behalf and instead look at me and what I have to offer

Conclusion:

I believe that if you gave me a chance I will live up to your expectations I don’t like to give up and I never intend to give up meepcraft. I will get the job done but at the same time I would try and help players not only by actually helping them and treating them like equals no matter who they are or what rank. So if you are willing to give me a shot you will not regret it I can promise you that.

Cons:

Your application was short and riddled with mistakes. Before submitting an application, make sure to proofread and run your application through a spell-check first.

I have never seen you help in-game, and though I'm not taking this into account, you gave me a hard time when I banned you when you broke the rules.

I have questions about your maturity.

Your weaknesses section is your longest section. While I like how you address all of your weaknesses, you should have put more effort into your "Why" section, rather than "Weaknesses". From reading your application, there's very little you can bring aside from doing modreqs, but there is a whole bunch of stuff that would prevent you from doing a good job (your weaknesses).

I'm not sure how I feel about having someone who's had account security issues be staff...

Pros:

You're well-liked by the community.

You are very active in-game.

You recognize and address your weaknesses.

You followed the application format (it's a lot more rare than you might think).


Work on the cons, and keep building upon the pros.

 

Thanks Oro I do realize I gave you a hard time and I did try and apologize although I think you may have been afk :l I was being a huge jerk to you and you were just simply doing your job it was unacceptable all of the account issues are now sorted out and I change my minecraft password regularly I am working on my weaknesses and I do believe I am beginning to lessen a few of those weaknesses eg. my dyslexia though it is mild it can still account for a few misunderstandings. I appreciate you taking the time in order to give me some feedback and thank you if I get denied (which I believe is unfortunately most likely) I will work on everything that gets suggested to me in this application and maybe re apply further on in the future. Also I hope that we could possibly put behind us the fact that I was a complete and utter jerk to you and maybe start afresh? I had just lost a friend and I guess at that time I needed to take it out on someone and unfortunately you just had happened to do your job well that day and ban me I can only offer you my apologies I do regret how I acted once again I am truly sorry oro

While the seal is nice, there are a few things that need tweaking.
For instance–
You are somewhat immature. I have not seen you doing much helping around the server (-), sure, you are very active (+), but that's not all you need. You need to be actively using /shout to talk to other people, to help, and to be a good friend. You also only recently started being really active around.
