Please just give him Admin. Deinen is experienced, he knows whats going down - and he can take the lead, all at the same time as having a bit of fun.

Due to being staff at the same time as Deinen, I've had a great view of how he works, and he'd helped me multiple times with the jobs I needed to do.

I think you're insane, unstable, and impulsive. I don't agree with the things you do. I think you're wasting your time here. But who am I to be the judge of that?

If you really are confident that you want to become staff on a minecraft server instead of a real place, then go for it.

 

You are throwing around some pretty strong insults that are uncalled for and make you sound like a prick.

Tell me those words don't describe him though.

Insane: "in a state of mind that prevents normal perception, behavior, or social interaction". I think this describes many of his forum posts and other problems he's had in the past. Does this mean he is wrong in any sort of way? Not necessarily. He makes excellent points and logical arguments. I think he takes many of those arguments overboard. A half-sentence ignorant comment is not proportional to a multi-paragraph rage post.

Unstable: Okay, maybe this was exaggerated. But it isn't quite normal to find a person his age this dedicated to a minecraft server.

Impulsive: Spawning thousands of gold blocks was definitely impulsive at least. If it wasn't impulsive, and instead planned, that's even worse.

So fine, call me a prick, but I spoke nothing but the truth.

I think you may have misread what I wrote, as it was not "rage". I enjoy presenting well thought out arguments to an idea to present and support my side. I believe that this type of dialogue is beneficial in the solving of all sorts of issues. I was blunt about what I said, because I felt strongly about the issue, as this was a part of a major issue at the beginning of this server. I have a formed opinion of the matter and I expressed my view.

I think perhaps once your a bit older you'll understand that the world isn't so black and white. Cooleysworld is also person of my age, and quite frankly he is one of the most stable, and normal person I have ever met. So had Diana, and many others. I also think you will learn that a single act of impulsiveness does not make you an impulsive person. It makes you a human being that makes bad decisions, and mistakes.

In what world does "taking arguments overboard" = insane? Just because you disagree with someone doesn't mean they are "in a state of mind that prevents normal perception, behavior, or social interaction." I'm having trouble believing that I really need to explain this to someone.

Also, that post you linked is so, so far from a "rage post" that you literally made me LOL. That's strong disagreement, not rage.

So what's the age cutoff, then? 18? 25? I'm sure we all want to know whether we're considered "normal" to a 15-year-old.

Also, I was mainly calling you a prick because of your thinly veiled shot at Deinen spending time on a minecraft server even though he is an adult man. I guess in your 12 year old mind it's really uncool to play video games as an adult, but once you grow up a little you'll realize that even when you are an adult you want to spend some of your free time doing something you enjoy. If you enjoy video games then play video games. There is nothing weird or wrong about that. Your comment was nothing near the truth. Deinen is not insane. He is a father of 4 which requires a lot more stability than being a 12 year old internet troll like yourself. He is also generally not impulsive. Deinen usually makes explained, thought-out decisions. The gold spawning was an outlier which is why it shocked everyone so much. I think you shouldn't make such dramatic judgement call on someone's character when you hardly know them over a video game. That is why I called you prick, and you are definitely living up to that name.

Initially when I opened this thread, I was conflicted.
I love you, Dein. Like, not in a weird way, but you are just one of my favorite people and you are very smart and you probably deserve this.

But, I thought back to the gold incident and thought, has he redeemed himself? Okay, yeah, he has.
Then I thought more and decided that I would want you as staff actually more because you screwed up and was able to accept that and move on. Being able to screw up and then stand up, work it out, and move on is almost even better than not screwing up in the first place. Because, at the end of the day, everyone is human and everyone screws up. What makes you special, Dein, is that you can move on.

Kk happy fun times with long paragraphs (yay!)

Okay so I'm going to atart with my frist impressions and such. I never played extensively during MN due to the way staff members from Old Meep were treated during the transition (long story short my friend irl was staff and I didnt like how she was treated). However, when I heard it had been changed back to 'Meepcraft', I went to check it out. I vividly remember just hopping quickly onto parkour and seeing you explaining everything to peole in shout, and thinking 'thats a perso that deserves to be respected'.

While I definitely wasnt the greatest person to be around after that, and there were a few times when my opinion of you dropped dramatically, you always seemed to be able to remedy it. You were kind at some times but ridiculously-blunt-borderline-mean. I appreciated the effort you've put behind the server, especially even in my own case when by all means I didnt deserve the fairness you showed me. No matter what you've done since then, I still will always remember how you spent time to solve a case with someone who had done nothing hut try to make your life more difficult.

Now, I think you made a really bad decision with the gold blocks, to be blunt. You showed a shade of greediness that I wouldn't have expected of you, even though you did it for your town. I was not involved myself in the issue, though, so I've never really had an emotional attatchment to the issue. You have always expressed a huge amount remorse for the decision, and I truly think that you regret it. It's always a good sign for me when someone is so apologetic, because I believe in second chances.

You have always been a very vocal person, especially on the forums, and even though I don't always agree with you, I can't deny that you've got style. You always express your opinion, and the only issue I have with this is that oftentimes you state it in a blunt and close to mean way. While on a whole I don't think you mean to be mean, I think that it wouldn't hurt to maybe try to treat everyone a little more lightly.

I've always noticed your great respect for staff members, new and old, which I think is a really great asset for you. Rhe one time I've had to warn you about something, you apologized personally to me, which is pretty close to unheard of. It really struck me that you felt it pertinent to apologize to me for your actions, because its not something we see everyday.

I honestly don't understand you and have never gotten to know you too well, so I can't say anything about your personality outside of Meep. All I know and judge upon are my personal experiences, so it may seem limited. I know I have had a great amount of respect for you for awhile now, and honestly, I think you would do well a staff again.

TL: DR - I have a lot of respect for you that has varied, I think you need to work a little on how you may give the impression of being too blunt or possibly even mean, and I think you are super remorseful and a second chance wouldn't be a bad idea.

Deinen0. If this app isn't accepted, then I will be unhappy. Not only have you had previous staff experience that was excellent (appart from one small thing that involved 10000 gold blocks). You are extremely active and a great person to be on the staff team.
