Introduction:
Hello! My name is Will Pedersen, (aka n00bslayer_99) and I am 14 years of age. Ever since I joined meep in December last year, I have wanted to be a helper. Ofcourse, as the nub I was, I went and applied for helper in the first few hours xD. I have learnt a lot in those months, I have met a ton of awesome and extremely friendly people, I have gained knowledge on not only meep, but also in real life; I will explain here. enough of what I have learnt, more about me. I am in 8th Grade, in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. Although I am not religious, I attend a Christian school, as I believe in the Christian values. In August last year, I got a job at Coles (Major grocery chain in Australia). Late last year, at around the same time as I joined meep, I also joined the Navy Cadets; I am now an Able Seaman. When I was 10, I moved from Denmark to Australia. In the process of this, I lost my mum, as she stayed in Denmark. Therefore, if anyone has ever cracked a "yo mama" joke while I'm around, you may have seen me sort of fade out a little. I feel this Intro is rambling on, so lets go;

Why you should be Helper?
Hmmm, this is something I have asked myself many times. First of all, as an employee at Coles, I meet many, many people every day. I meet 5 year olds asking where to find Coconut milk, 80 year olds asking where the magazines are, and anything in between. I love helping, am very disciplined/polite, even when people are nagging me that something on special shows up as $5 instead of $4. Due to my good work I have gone from stacking shelves to Booth work (The person who stands behind the counter scanning your items) and am currently in training for help desk. Not only this, but as I also stated above, I am in the Navy Cadets. I have, in the 6months I have been there, gone Recruit --> seaman. I am praised and praised at Navy Cadets for my work towards the community, and, of course, as the military is half about, my discipline. I have been sent a letter from the Northern Territory Minister for Defence, saying congratulations when I got promoted, and to keep up my brilliant work. I asked around, and none of the others had received such a letter. I was also told that ranking up from Recruit to Seaman usually took 9-12 months. I guess this, combined with my work, is what has inspired me to write this application. But it doesn't stop there; At my school, I am the vice-captain for my house (for sport occasions) and Head Boy of year 8. If anyone in year 8 has a problem, they see me. Then I take action depending on what the problem is. Another place, and reason, why I love helping people and would like to expand my helping to meep, and learn even more helping skills. INGAME, I own both an alpha town and a Beta town, and have owned many in the past, so I am very familiar with towny commands.

Weaknesses:
Again, as stated above, I have a small problem with the 'yo mama' jokes, but that is not really a problem. it is easily handled. Another, is stubbornness; I always fight my case to the end, and never, ever give up unless something obvious like proof shows something else. Also another one, Ban history. I have 3 bans (I think?) one for scamming (i had been on the server for 2 days ) one for pay spamming (at the time I wasn't thinking straight, well, I probably was but I honestly have no idea why I did it. and one for duping (I did this, yes, and I understand if I get denied simply for this - However I only did it once and have never touched a rail and a piston within 30 minutes of each other.) I think that is it.

Conclusion:
Please take all my experience in the community into consideration, as I would love to bring it into meepcraft. Thankyou for taking the time to read this, and any constructive criticism is HIGHLY appreciated. even if this is denied, I still hope to be a helper some day. Thankyou.

I have realised that I am clearly not ready, and that when I first joined I did some things I regret. just deny it.

 

You can delete the thread.

 

I would like it in the denied section to show that I tried, and failed. Looking back at this will probably be my only motivation to never apply again.

 

Just a few months ago you posted several threads complaining about the server and insulting several staff members, one of them being called something along the lines "the true meepcraft". I think this proves that you lack the maturity to become staff.

Good application, actually, but I can see ways to improve it if you apply in the future. Under "Why should you be Helper," it's important to note real-life experiences that would benefit you as a staff member, but we don't need that much detail. It's more important to include your experiences and actions in-game, and you only put in two sentences. Talk about the qualities you have that you think would make you a good Helper, the ways that you show those qualities in-game, and how it would benefit the server if you were accepted. Under weaknesses you mention your ban history but don't say how you've moved on or learned from them.

You have improved your behavior, but your duping ban was pretty recent, and you lied on your ban appeal. How can you enforce the server's rules if you don't follow them? At this point, I'd be a -1 even for that alone.

I also don't see much evidence of a desire to help people. That doesn't just mean helping in shout, but an overall attitude. If you're serious about this, you'll notice how people are reacting to you and try to work on what they've said. They'll be less likely to hold things against you that are in the past if they consistently see good things from you now. Answer people's questions (both ingame and on the forums), make new players feel welcome and help them out. I've seen you making and replying to suggestions, which is great - keep looking for constructive ways to improve the server.
