Too Expensive?

I was checking my Christmas thread and decided to do one of the gifts (A god pickaxe.) I bought all the books (Eff. 5, Unbreaking 3, Fortune 3.) And when I put the normal diamond pickaxe with the unbreaking 3 book it was fine. But when I tried to add the Eff 5 and Fortune 3 one it keeps saying "Too Expensive."

It says "Too Expensive" So I thought "What if I switch it around?"

Nope. At this point I thought I needed more XP

In this photo it still says "Too Expensive" Even after I got 32 levels. And yes, I did switch these around. I also asked a Helper and they told me to file a bug report.

Not a meep bug . Rather a minecraft thing in general

 

This is not actually a Meepcraft bug; it is a Minecraft mechanic. It was supposed to be fixed in 1.8, though, so I'm confused as to why it is not working.

No. It is now completely enchanted, it is incredibly unlikely that any enchantment is inexpensive enough.

 

I had a similar problem with enchanting when Meep updated to 1.8. It was when I enchanted a pick with a simple enchanted book, but it never enchanted. But whenever I teleported to a warp, lets say /warp wild, it gave me back my XP points.

 

Had you previously repaired the pickaxe? Each time you use a tool/weapon in an anvil, costs increase for the next time. If you have a pickaxe that has been repaied a few times then you wont be able to fit all your enchants on it.

 

No, It was a brand new pickaxe I just crafted.

Try to separate the book. Say I had unb 1 and fort 3 on a book. For some reason I couldn't enchant, it was too expensive...

So, maybe I could try to get and unb 1 book, then ANOTHER book, with fort 3. I would get my pick, add the unb book, then get it on. It would probably work since it didn't have fort 3 on that book. Then, maybe I would add the fort 3 book next. Basically I'm saying get 2 different books and try adding both to the pick. Try this in survival first. (you can enchant anything in creative, DO NOT try it in creative mode!)

 

Try naming the pick, then combining it with the book.

 

This is just a part of minecraft.
