Redo Teamspeak

As you all know, the Teamspeak popularity has dramatically increased for a long time. There are things we need to change, and maybe more people will come on.

1. Make Teamspeak look cooler! It's been the same since I first joined in March 2k14. It'd be cool to spice it up a bit, put in some new channels, etc.

2. Delete some of the server channels. We have 20 public channels. We don't need a Teamspeak channel for alpha, beta, towns, dice dueling, skyblock, boomo, creative, ctf, halo, etc.; especially when Boomo and CTF are down.

3. Give elite+/supreme+ a rank on Teamspeak that allows them to make a temporary channel. They can put a pass on it, give other people in the channel channel ranks, and kick people out of the channel.

4. Change the "Steve". I mean for citizens, yes. But maybe like vip-exclusive/elite can get a certain rank to signify that they are donators and elite/supreme+ get their own rank to make the channels and stuff.

Overall, we want Teamspeak to be more popular, and these things will help it be.

I like these ideas. Shouldn't be hard to implement, aren't going to put anyone at any disadvantage, gives high-ranking donators some little extras that aren't abusable and overall makes the experience a bit more user friendly.

-1 to all of them. The owning of channels is dumb, the idea to make it look cool is not needed as people will come anyways,.

 

The thing is, there are about 10 people max on ts at any given time of the day. 10. That is very low. Something needs to change.

You guys realize that TeamSpeak is completely separate from IG, therefore most of this would most likely have to be manual?

 

I'm pretty opposed to any donation type perks on Teamspeak, considering it is a completely seperate entity. Anything not private rooms (too many issues could be caused) and donation related, I'm +1 on though.

 

I guess this would be aimed towards me, so yes. I've developed Teamspeak servers before, so I know that there is no way to attach BuyCraft and teamspeak. But it can't be hard to give mods perms to give donors a little cool thing next to their name instead of a "Steve" head.

I'm abit worried about the temporary channel, We would not be able to stop what people name them..Unless we find a way to make the channel their name.

 

Just make the channel what there name is (if that's possible). So when they make it, it says something like "Landonator419's Channel" or something like that.

We use staff channels for more than Meetings and sitting to be 'not bothered'. Oftentimes we need to help eachother out when we are in a staff channel together, or if there's a player with us, we are talking to them about a theft, or a bug, or etc. And otherwise, you forgot Interviews, etc.
