Banks

You know those times when you really need meebles for your town or shop or etc? Well banks could be a solution to this! You could store your money in banks to earn interest and you could take out loans. I got this idea because you know you can't trust a lot of people on meep and i always needed money so yeah please make banks! =)

 

What happens if you take a loan from the server and you cannot pay it back?

 

This is an interesting idea, but I think it may cause a lot of complication. -1/2

 

then it would make your balance to negative, you have to make more money to remove the '-' sign then. Idk if this is possible but would be cool.

For the suggestion, there's some flaws and could result something bad, +/- for now.

No, it's not that. If he's on a negative, he can't pay or take any loan, instead he has to make more money to bring back hsi cash before loaning again. If you don't know what I mean, don't bother wasting your time trying to think what it is because I'm bad at explaining.

 

Okay, that would be a fair way of doing it, but I still maintain that the complications involved in the application of this idea outweigh the benefits.

 

Would there be a time limit on when you have to pay?

 

If so, would the player be penalized for not paying on time, and how?

p.s. This is what i mean by complications.

 

If there was a penalty, maybe the Console could ban for a certain time, like if you don't pay for X time, then you get banned for X time.
For example: I take out a loan of 200k. It gives me 3 days to pay it back. In 3 days, I still don't pay. I will get banned for a certain amount of time, possibly 2 or 3 hours. Let's say, I come back, but STILL don't pay. I get banned for a day or two. The cycle would repeat until you pay or get perm banned.

 

No offense, but that just sounds like an over-complicated way to get noobs to quit the server...

 

Oh no you wouldn't. You wouldn't be able to buy ANYTHING.
There was a player that had negative money.

 

Can't you then just use alts and pay your main? Or you could take out massive loans and squander all the cash, introducing massive amount of meebles into the eco.

You could take out a huge loan (50 million) not pay it back, and you would have more money than you could use in a lifetime.

 

-1, the server isn't a bank, really. We don't, and shouldn't, specialize in market financial products, loans, etc, etc. Especially if this results in a ban, it's not worth setting up.

 

A player can only take out the money that is in the bank. So for example if there was only $500 in the bank you couldn't take out 1,000

If the player could not pay on time they would owe the bank the loan and extra money for being late with the loan. If they never payed the loan back they would have to pay the money back and not be able to take out loans for a certain amount of time or maybe never.
