Improved version of the new chat format

When Fuzzlr implemented this new chat format I was under the impression it allowed players to type super long messages if they needed thus stopping people from posting twice or more just to get their point across. I soon realized it didn't do that so I figured why not make the thing I thought the new chat format was and see how many people would want to see it implemented into Meepcraft.

-Why would your suggestion benefit Meepcraft? It would allow people to type longer messages instead of being forced to break it up into multiple parts or summarize it.

-Who would this benefit?
players who are trying to get across their points of view that cant do it in the vanilla Minecraft chat window.

-About how long will this take to be implemented, if it is accepted?
Should be at most a week if not a few hours. I don't know a thing about modding so I don't know what someone would need to do.

-Would this cause more lag?
I would have to assume no lag would be caused at all as long as spammers don't start spamming super long messages.

 

Whatever Fuzzlr added bugged the chat and turned in into the messages going under your username only and not under the global thing.

I don't think you can edit the length of what you can type into chat.

 

I can only assume it is possible. This game is bound to be pretty much 100% modifiable. The Techs may just need to find the code that determines how long the chat box can go and put a few more zeros after that number and we will be good. Not to say it could seriously be that simple because hey I still know practically nothing about modding.

0, while I get the frustration, I'm not sure if we can even extend it, or if it's a minecraft default, then on top of that any issues that could come from people being able to type extremely long messages.
