Baninfo

Given /baninfo only gives current bans it would be impossible to use yourself, unless ban evading, but if you try logging in while banned it will show you the same information. Seems like you're asking to see your own /banhistory. If you really wanted to know this you could always ask a staff member and see if they would tell you what your bans were, but that's only if they will.

 

No. They mean baninfo for other players. People honestly don't care about seeing why people are banned. They just want to know for how long.

 

That's exactly what I just said... baninfo is the current ban reason and timing. Banhistory is a list of bans with time stamps with the ban length.

 

Everyone is misunderstanding this. I thought /baninfo meant anything about bans. It could show previous bans, and if they player is currently, banned, and if so, how long and what for.

 

Ban info only shows, if there is one, the current ban and how long it is applicable.

Not at all. Like say I were banned and bloopers wanted to know how long I was banned for. He probably doesn't care why. He just wants to know how long I will possibly be gone for

 

Then that is /banhistory, a command that I really don't see as something you guys need.

 

That's exactly what it does, but tells you why. Which I have said twice already. It doesn't matter if he cares why, ban info shows it and the time date and time the said ban is, end of story.

 

What I'm confused about is why was /baninfo removed...
