Update:
Due to the fact that most people apparently have trouble being on for the time of the event. I will be surveying which day people think the event should be held.

What A Purple Pig In A Swing

 

When my guard was down they attacked from behind
With a blow to the head - now I wake up to find
There's a sort of red mist in front of one eye
And my tongue's gone all rubbery and my mouth is so dry.

There's a part of my head that floats on its own
And a pain when I move that just makes me groan.
My stomach and its contents have ceased to be friends
And are now parting company via both ends.

I ought to get up but I'm frightened to try,
I just want to lie here and hope that I'll die.
I can't understand how I came to be caught
By those two nasty muggers - red wine and gin

He is that fallen lance that lies as hurled,
That lies unlifted now, come dew, come rust,
But still lies pointed as it plowed the dust.
If we who sight it along the world,
See nothing worthy to have been its mark,
It is because like men we look to near,
Forgetting that as fitted to the spear,
Our missles always make to short a ark.
They fall, they rip the grass, they intersect
The curve of Earth, and striking, Break their own;
They make us cringe for metal- point on stone.
But this we know, the obstacle that checked
And tripped the body, shot the spirit on
Further then target ever showed on stone.

This is what a true solider is. I will try to be this. Although this may be easy on the outside the inside it is not. True soliders make great sacrifices. This is what a say. This is what a true solider is.

 

Roses are red
Violets are blue
I hate lag
And so do you

A Winter’s Day


A flurry of snowflakes drift gently here and there

Like little white angels flying through the air

Falling gracefully to the ground

Snowflakes pile on each other without a sound


Hot chocolate is brewed inside

The pleasant, cosy little house

The aroma of cocoa lures the children

They take some sips and go back outside

Where all the fun takes place


Gleaming with brightness comes out the sun

The snow slowly thaws away

No more fun outside

Children head back inside to play
