Dicing

Please bring it back.

 

+1, as much as staff hate it, it can be really fun to do sometimes.

But really, I dunno how I feel. On one hand, players really like it and find it fun, on the other, it's sooooo much of a hassle for staff to moderate. It's sad.

Like Monkey said, staff would have to moderate it and stuff, people would get scammed lots

There was another thread like this fairly recently that was denied; again, with good reason.

To reiterate, /dice caused nothing but strife among community members, especially new players that didn't know not to do it. Furthermore, scamming cases were near-impossible to resolve, leading to a great many players being upset and others getting away with scamming. I fail to see any good coming from bringing the plugin back.

 

7/9 people who voted on this thread said +1. That's what good comes from bringing it back, a happy community.

 

Last I checked 7 people aren't the entirety of the community. Furthermore, the people who posted here are generally those who made vast amounts of money from something that essentially took advantage of players.

Did everything I pointed out that was bad just blow over your head?

The community has gotten much better and more welcoming since dicing disappeared. It may not be completely due to dicing, but I know it partially is. It is not a good thing for a community based server like our own.

Fake quotes are silly and you shouldn't do them as it takes about 5 seconds to see that they are fake. The least you could do is figure out how quotes work so that you can do them properly

 

"You know the community is better because dicing is gone, at least partially." Proof please. I provided a statistic to back my case, all you're using is your own opinion.

In no way, shape or form did dicing take advantage of players.

Let's face it you just don't want it back as you know you'll have more work to do.

I was one of them.

 

I guess it's harder for you to see, but a great many of the modreqs that I did involved dice scamming, and now, obviously, none do. Every time someone dice scammed it ruined a relationship. Every time someone diced period, someone was going to get upset at losing. It is impossible for you to say that that kind of community is better than one without dicing.

Also, dice scamming cases aren't really that much work. Like I said above, it was essentially 'Do you have screenshots? y/n', and if they said no, there was nothing we could do. I don't care how much work I have to do, it's more the fact that I hate telling people that we can't help them. We do that enough as it is.

And yeah, maybe it's a little selfish, because when I can't help people I feel obligated to reimburse them, and I don't want to do that constantly with dice scamming.

I never implied that it was a lot of work, I do however realise that there would have been a lot of the cases, which then stacks up.

No, it isn't impossible for me to say that the community would be upset with dicing. Statistics show that the community would be happier with dicing.
