Alternative Methods of Payment for Donating

Meepcraft is a server that is run by the donations it receives, and it receives plenty of them. However, the methods of giving donations is extremely limited.

Currently, the only method in which you can donate to Meepcraft is PayPal, which for 80% of people is just fine. The problem is for a minority (myself included) who cannot use PayPal for various reasons, such as location or a dispute with the company.

In order to expand the amount of donations that the server receives, Meepcraft should implement multiple ways to donate, such as direct credit/debit card payments and PayByCash. This will allow those of us who cannot currently donate due to PayPal an opportunity to improve the server we love.

TLR: Can't donate. PayPal hates me. Make it so I can donate via Credit Card.

I think that's just setting your credit card or whatever up to pay via paypal with the credit card, could be wrong though.

No you cannot. Yes, you can use your credit card, but it all goes through PayPal, which is not viable for me.

You can select "I don't have a paypal" and just use your card on it's own. It doesn't "go through paypal" Yes paypal is the medium preferred by meepcraft but if you don't have a paypal set up it just uses paypal as a security for you information. Also if you use debit cards ie. Visa cards those work just fine. I've sold several ranks using that. Extremely simple plus no chance of chargeback.

 

The problem with credit cards is that they charge the seller around a 2% charge to use them. I don't know how much paypal is, but I think that it would be less.

 

It still goes through PayPal, even if you don't log in with an account...
