...yeah there's no reason for this. I am all for 1 or 2 codes for someone to get a free rank up. But this is ridiculous.

Look, I want free meebles as much as you, but you have to think about the value of your meebles. You suddenly generate 100K for every player that comes online, you have at least 30 mil in the eco more than yesterday. Assuming you mean for the 12 days of christmas, that's 30 mil a day in 12 days, that's 360 mil in the eco. Now meebles are worth a lot less, aren't they?

100K for everyone in a day may work if there was like 10 people in the server. But there's not - there's several hundred. You have to think about that.
like 10K would be a proper and good size thing for this, and that's already 3 mil a day for 300 players, and I bet more than that log on anyways.

Don't be greedy. Meebles are not difficult to make and minecraft is supposed to be a grindy game. Do you sit and whine about how there's almost no free stuff in single player? No?

It's a game. It's a grindy game. Grind. That's the point of playing the game in the first place.

Okay then, 100K for every player for 1 day, on Dec 25 only.
That's still several hundred people that log on. Let's say there's 300 like I was in my example (There's probably closer to 4-500 as the day goes on)
That's still 30 mil in the eco that's generated on the spot. That's still not a good thing.
We've been trying to lessen the eco for years. This would ruin all of that effort.
It may not look like it to you because you get money, but especially after about a week or two, prices for a lot of things will go down and your meebles will be worth less. This includes buying and selling prices. Diamonds may only be 300 meebles, gold may go down to 75.
it will be harder to make money and take longer.

How about let's not shoot ourselves in the foot?

400 meebles to sell them at /warp shop.
4000 meebles per person.
That's not too bad, I suppose. 1.2mil added with 300 players logging on, still a lot...

A better option would be some sort of event. Shains just posted a thread about a holiday building contest and there's over 3 mil in prizes. Sounds kinda nice to me.

Holidays aren't supposed to be about getting free stuffs.
It's more about enjoying people. Enjoying the december.
Have some fun. You don't need free stuff to have a happy holidays.

Just have like a small weekly giveaway probably. What you've stated is waaaay too much, especially 1mil a day for ultimates from voting. That's just like 7mil a week!

 

-1, this idea is simply horrible. There is nothing but greed behind it. Christmas isn't about receiving, its about giving. It's only better if we get Christmas Sale on ranks, like always, and everything else stays the same.

Wtf are all these awful suggestions asking for free meebles?

I can understand if 1 - 3 people TOTAL on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are selected by voting get a tiny chance to rank up by some sort of lottery (If Ult wins they get 1m etc). People need to think through their suggestions before suggestion them.

 

I think he meant over a period of time (so ults get 5x more for voting than vip's or cits or whatever.)
