Should I apply?

Should I apply? That's the question I've been asking my self. As most of you know I have an Application out for helper but I've been gaining a lot of -1's and I believe I know why (Other than the fact that is was horribly written). My helper application wasn't the best mostly due to the fact that I was lacking in "want"; Helper position to me wasn't the thing I truly wanted, mentally I believed I wanted to be helper but intrinsically I wanted the only position I feel fit for me, Media.

During my time as Media, I was foolish, Immature and arrogant. when I was removed from Media it awoke something inside of me, a sense of change as you will, but this feeling, it did indeed encouraged me to change. Yes, its only been a few months since I was demoted but I strongly believe I have changed. I will admit that yes I am immature but to a certain extent, if we are joking and having a good time then yes a goofy, immature side of me will emerge, but isn't that in everyone? Isn't it Human Nature?

This isn't an application in the least bit, but a mere question. Should I apply? I want to know from the server as a society what and how they think of me. I want to know if the server believes that I should at least try to get another chance, a redemption. So as I end this post, I ask you this, Should I apply?

 

One thing you may want to improve is your forum activity. I mean, it's good to browse the forums but as a staff member you should be interacting with the players in every way, an important one being through the forums. Try to bump up those 8 messages. If you're not active on all aspects of the server, the staff may not see you fit. Remember there is a teamspeak!

You also have to ask yourself, are you willing to be dedicated to the job, or is school and other commitments going to prohibit you from being active and fulfilling of your duties. Are you willing to put aside playing the actual server, but set modreqs and your staff tasks as your number one priority.

If you still feel the need to ask yourself this question, then don't. If you do not have confidence in yourself, you will just do poorly. Anyways, good luck!

If you have to ask that question, you are far from ready to apply.
The thing is, applying and actually moderating after you are accepted are two completely different things.
If you are unsure about applying, you will burn out/not do a good job moderating either.

The Uncertainty is not when apply but wheather the server as a whole would want me as media. Just a question to know if the server itself thinks I will benifit it

 

I don't know what's confusing you, my post was very clear just by reading the first word. As Yacky already said, if you have to ask, you shouldn't apply, but do try your luck again if you feel like it, just don't be too surprised when you get denied, maybe instead of wasting everyone's time with silly questions you can start by actually contributing to the player base and forums.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. After reading this, some of you appear to believe Im questioning whether I should apply or not because I lack the confidence but thats not why Im asking it. Im asking the question to know whether the server thinks that I will benifit it. I Have the confidence and would apply in a heart beat but Id first like to accommodate to what the server wants.

You made yourself very vulnerable in writing this post, and from my perspective it gives you some brownie points, but I don't believe you should reapply any time soon. Based on your prior experience as media, I would say there's quite a few things you'd have to improve on to clean your slate and start again. I believe people can change, so I don't believe your past should prevent you from ever being able to reapply in the future, just not the near future. If you want to talk further my inbox is always open.

 

Save yourself some time and don't apply.

I don't know you too much, (I joined early October), but just from the .gif in your signature with flashing "like! rate! subscribe!" already gives me an image of you.

Seeing all the people who don't want you applying, you should have applied anyways. Staff would probably notice and that would give you a better shot at your position. But this whole discussion did the opposite.
