However, just taking note, that someone was banned, for just under a month, with the result that the evidence was not sufficient to keep him ban. So basically, someone screwed up, and an innocent person was removed from your server for nearly 30 days.

I suspect, as staff, you should freeze any discussion on what to add, or plugins, or what-ever-other crap is talked about. And solely talk for the next 30 days, 20 hours a day - On what you can do to improve overall customer service.

The example I put forth is a piss-poor example of that, regardless of the result, if I were to even find myself in that position, I would vow on my first born's blood to never step foot back into that business ever again.

I only decided to post this because, I figured, you guys didn't have anyone else to point out the bluntly obvious, so I figured I'll chip in

So we've been spending a lot of time looking at some of our policies and how they affect players experience and overall retention. We've been making some changes and our mods have been doing very well at keeping up with our ideas. In this specific instance Docta's proof was sufficient with our previous policy but the proof collected is insufficient based on our new policy. I would just like to clear that up

@Deinen if it would put your mind at ease I could fully explain the details to you in a private conversation or through Skype

 

Or here, Deinen isn't staff anymore. If there is a new policy than the people deserve to know. I would like to add transparency is a thing that could be worked on too.

We're trying out a few things differently that are very player oriented and really expecting it to work for the better.

I'm curious @Epicdude141 what else do you think we could be more transparent with?

I was partially wrong in this thread, while I still think 30 days is too long, I put it in a way that was too aggressive and assumed disinterest on a group that didn't act in that manner.

@Deljikho is a prime example on how staff, recently, have been making changes and choices that immediately bring positive benefits.

I felt that he handled this thread in a truly professional manner, I encourage anyone who wants to eventually join staff look to him for examples on how to handle controversial issues/topics/threads.

If you could go 3 months without a ban, I think they should just give you honorary helper, lol.

 

Just remove all the staff and add whatever automated system Verizon uses.

That could be possible if I wanted to be staff. Maybe a year ago I would've done it, but now it's pointless and worthless to me lol.

 

Things like that, you don't need to take it to a private place. Especially if it pertaining to player policy.

Staff comments could be another thing. If it pertains to a person that could literally remove us from this server, we should be able to know.

 

@Deljikho You told him that there is a new player policy. I had no idea that there was a new player policy until I came to this thread. If there really is a new player policy, it is just common sense to post it somewhere where people will actually find it.

 

I apologize if I misused my words earlier. There is no change in player policy, but there have been some with staff policy We post changes to all of our staff members and it is very clear when it happens. And I do stand by what I said "I've basically told you" because I believe that it's clear what I was referring to. I stated:

We've set forth better guidelines on what constitutes as sufficient evidence so wrong bans can be avoided in the future. I promise you guys are our #1 priority and we are doing what we can to see some great improvements

 

Thank you! Finally a few more people are noticing. I'm glad to know I'm not alone. Currently been banned for about a week for asking a question about a different server, they've either ignored my messages or told me "it's being handled" which I know is B.S. because all that needs to be done to "handle" it is click the "unban" button. XChaosX tried to tell me "oh well all the staff has to review the evidence and blahblahblah[insert filler excuse here]. Right, because you all sit in a room for an hour discussing whether or not a player should be unbanned for saying "does anyone know anything about (different server)?" in global chat. At this point they probably think I'm harassing them, which I almost am. I'm sick of the staff here with their B.S. The only reason I'm making such a big deal about it is because it's unnecessary, and while I sit here trying to get my ban lifted, my meeble account is being drained paying taxes on plots I can't use.

All that aside, I'm glad to know that @DoctaPop was unbanned.

Honestly, the staff could've reminded us that there was a change in the staff policy where they handled ban appeals differently. But that's their decision if they tell us or not. It would rather be best to tell staff and/or players, would it?

Look guys I was just helping Deinen get some answers to his questions. He knows how we operate from an internal high-staff position so I knew he would understand what I'm talking about lol. There's really no need to concern yourself with internal staff mechanics and dynamics.

 

If I remember correctly, you made some ridiculous argument in your appeal that banning for advertising is censorship and against international law, and you also stated that you won't follow the rules of the server.

I mean as it is true, they don't need to know how high rank staff operates you said "New Policy". I believe thats what people are trying to get at. Something changed in how meepcraft bans and punishments that go along with these bans. If something changes what a player can or cant do, or on what staff can and cant ban on, is important for a player to know. Also we gotta revive that skype chat before i head back to college.

 

Ok? Like I said, why am I being banned for nearly a month over asking a f-ing question? All you're doing is helping prove my point that either the rules need to be amended or we need a new set of staff that aren't corrupt and tainted. And yes, you're damn right I'm going to be obnoxious about it, because I won't stand for it. I thoroughly enjoy the server, but the staff need to be put in check. Looking through the list of denied ban appeals, I noticed that half of them weren't even justifiable that the players should have been banned to begin with, let alone denied the appeal. So, you're damn right I'm upset.
