Introduction: Hello there. My name is Landon. However, most of you guys call me Land, Lando and Landonator. I am thirteen years old, in eighth grade, and live in the USA.

I love playing sports such as, baseball and basketball. I have played baseball for about seven years/seasons and currently am in my eighth year for basketball.

In school, I take a high school level class, Spanish two. I am on honors classes and get A's and B's on my report card.

Why should you be Helper? Work ethic:
I am a hard worker. I try my best in every single thing I do. Even though it is just a video game. If I was in a middle of a modreq, I would not leave until it is done. If I start something, I finish it.

Dedication:
I am really dedicated to the server. I spend lots of my time doing things on this server. I have started many projects and have made them a lot better than I thought I could do. I spend all the time I can do on a project I start until I finish it.

Strong willed:
I am really strong willed. If I start an argument, I usually do not stop until I win (Try to atleast). Yes, at times I do bring it a little to far, but this would be a good characteristic in a staff member.

Justification:
I know I would be a good helper. My dedication would help me get a lot of things done. If I could just get 1 chance, I can proove my self that I would be a good helper. Thanks!

What are your weaknesses? Maturity:
I am not the most mature person on the server. I can be mature at times but I am usually not the most mature Meeper.

Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: I know this may make me sound desperate, but just please give me one chance. If I don't do good I would be demoted. I know I would do good since I wouldn't do anything bad, I just want one chance. Thanks!

 

Hello Landonator, What I've seen from this application is that, I just don't see any effort on it. I rarely see you in game and between those times, you don't even assist players even in chat only. Though I'm not pretty sure about that since our timezones are upside down. But from what I've seen at you in game, your attitude is only 'I want to benefit this to myself only, no one else'. From previous experiences, I've decided to leave a -1 here.

I hope you don't take it personal, if they can give you a chance for an interview, go for it.
Don't let anyone make you feel down.

1) Your incident with Pmx728 shows that you wouldn't be an effective staff member for multiple reasons:
a) You called attention to the wrong details within the video; where there was nothing you called hacks, and vice versa
b) Instead of working toward a mutually beneficial solution to the problem, you made multiple statements (with
nothing backing them up, may I add) that seemed to show that you were extremely anxious to vindicate your report
c) Your interactions with other players, including staff, have been almost entirely negative. In dealing with you, I, along
with many other staff members, found you to be dishonest and impatient, and this is a sentiment echoed within the
general playerbase.

2) I'm still not convinced that you don't hack.

3) Your brash, arrogant demeanor would clash with many personalities within the staff team, and would be counterproductive in dealing with tricky situations. A huge part of being a helper is the ability to listen to both sides of a story, and then making an objective judgement that is fair, and if possible benefits all the parties involved. For example, if someone lost 100k due to a misunderstanding, you might be able to ban someone for 7 days right away, with the refund coming 2 months later, and a full wipe for the perpetrator, or you could simply ask the guy to give the 100k back and settle the dispute right then and right there. I'm not convinced that you would be able to make these decisions that would benefit the server.

4) You have a track record of embarking on projects that have a tangible benefit to you. For example, you built your mega-netherwart farm under the guise of helping players earn free money. However, you made rules that prohibited the use of outside netherwart, forcing players to buy netherwart off you. Additionally, the purse of the farm was really to collect the money received from breaking netherwart. Another example, though not necessarily a project, is with bass_flow's town. You took out a total of about 1 mil from her town as a co-mayor, knowing full well that staff cannot ban for comayors withdrawing town funds. When staff confronted you about this behavior, you simply replied that you would pay it back later, as it was a loan (to my knowledge, you haven't). Does your quest for obtaining a staff position contain hidden motives?

Finally, I see a few red flags with this quote.

Firstly, while you did ask if he wanted help or anything, you never admitted that you were actually wrong. In the ban report, you called attention to wrong times in the video, with the wrong evidence. Additionally, if you make a mistake and apologize, you shouldn't say "I apologized! Look, here's proof!" This sentence connotes that your apology lacks sincerity and was merely a formality.

Secondly, what exactly does "Good try " mean in this context? Do you mean: "Good try, you tried to get my app denied, but I refuted your evidence with one declarative statement?" No, these concerns are very legitimate, as this kind of language (and frankly, these kind of beliefs) aren't tolerated within the staff team. Instead of saying "I have changed," prove to us that you have changed. Don't sit there and say it, act it out (and by act it out, I mean something that doesn't scream of desperation, like your refunds). Your attitude in this quote makes it quite clear that no, you have not really changed.

In short, you're frustrating, unpleasant, cocky, kind (hah! no), young (13 is a bit early), obnoxious, and ulterior.

Maybe you should consider working on your weaknesses, all these applications only show us that you didn't improve on the things you should improve on.

You strike me as an eccentric person, who usually cares only about himself and how he can profit from things.

What I see from you in-game are just fights in Terrarium - whether the literal ones or just arguing with someone.

The position for you probably means nothing more but just a little bit more power, I see no sincere will to help.

With your personality, that's more of a weakness.

I mean sure... keep trying, I couldn't care less, but I don't feel I'll ever be comfortable with you being staff.

Alright, I won't post a negative mark as this is never was me. But I have recommandations, if you follow them and put some effort getting further I'm sure you'll get a staff position and I must say "in the future" and not after this application.

My recommandations are the same I've always been giving you, start from dust, like completely dust. Forget the Lando you were, forget your issues with other people, contact those you got problems with, re conciliate with them, get more involved in the community, talk with people, not just to talk but talk to share your point of view about things, also talk and interact with a grade of maturity and that point my friend you need to work on it. Take a breath, stop rushing, take your time, evaluate yourself, know your weakness and control it (yes control the immaturity in times, make it more acceptable).

Stop applying for staff like if it was a matter of life or death, take it easy. You want that position, you want to become a helper no doubt on that, you are persistant and that's also good, but always remember, a battle could be done in one night, but the war remains a preparation of days and months, and the one who prepares himself good, finish it good.

So, recapitulation:
1) Re-conciliate with those you got problems with, and fix them. That will give a new image of you which is maturity and it's about time, you're still young no ones reproaching you that, it's so okay I swear, but if you do this, and especially in front of someone older, they will respect you for that.
2) Don't rush yourself, I applied at the age of 22, and I believe the youngest staff was 13 when she became Smod that's right, but that's an exception, take your time and fix it all, and I'm pretty sure you'll be an exception because you have potential, you just need to learn how to use it correctly.
3) STAY THE WAY YOU ARE when it comes to determination and dedication. But improve the way you show it. Not by applying several times, but by helping others in server. And this common mistake they all do when they apply or plan to is helping in " a certain kind of shout". Mods and Admins are well aware of that, when they're looking for a new staff, they look into you, to find the pearl they need. They know where to mine for it, be that pearl, help people without making for a big audience. Create little clubs for new meepers, try to get involved and man let me tell you something, when I want to evade the stress, and everything I hang out with a new citizen, it reminds me the way I was when I started playing, and it's pretty chill. Simplicity creates beauty, be simple, be yourself.
4) Last but not least, I want you not to be upset, not to get stressed out, or taken by no matter what people say, because it's their right to say it, and you have the obligation to accept it the way they say it. If they're wrong, don't be wrong too. Talk, express yourself but always as a mature, intelligent, kind, intellectuel and capable type. Don't tell them what you do, or what you can do, show them the way you do it, people ask for promises, people say they believe in talk and thoughts, but the only thing that gets them and make is action, they prefer it to anything else and evaluate you vis-à-vis what you do.

Does it really matter how many application you are going to write? There isn't a mercy position.... anyone can write an application every two weeks or whatever. The staff really needs good PR right now and you would do nothing to help achieve that goal buddy. There is a reason you are not being given an interview. And apparently you are unable to realize what that thing is. You are nothing more than just another 13 year old minecraft player to me that just doesn't seem fit in a position where they represent the entire server.

maybe try to actually improve your attitude instead of just dumping a load in the application folder every 2 weeks

 

Aside from your joke applications, you have messaged me in-game that you don't even care about getting helper as you "already are applying on another server." I won't waste my time any further, but I would stop applying until you can actually show a drastic change in your overall behavior and app.

Hey landonator, while we appreciate your persistence, we don't feel you've improved since your prior applications. Please work on improving your community relations, having a higher level of patience for all situations, and overall maturity; being staff isn't only about the title, there's a lot of work that comes with being staff and we are not sure if you're ready to take on those responsibilities.
