Helper Application from Fortemizuki

Active, friendly, likes to help-what can I say? +1

 

Hey forte, i'm gonna have to be a -1 because:
I kind of feel like you don't have enough experience and i don't really see you help out in the global chat or anywhere else. Don't get me wrong, you're such a sweet girl but for now i just don't see you as staff, i would recommend waiting about 2 months or so

I'll start with the application. It was short, boring, and offered little to no insight as to who you are. The why section was 4 lines long. I don't think this is at any level good enough; in my eyes the staff application reflects on how the person is going to work. I mean, if one can't put a few hours into writing a quality staff application, why would they be able to handle a staff position?
You're an attention seeker. You have a tendency to steer global towards talking about yourself, and your life, and how cruel it is. Then, once global has moved onto another topic, you tend to steer it back at you.
And that brings me unto my next point, you seem to be an annoying "glass-half-empty" kind of person. It's like everything is a problem, the world is cruel, you're the unluckiest person in the world. I don't want you as a staff member if this is the kind of thing you contiously discuss in global.
On top of that, everyone here saying you're extremely helpful, I disagree. The only times I've ever seen you be helpful is when you're sucking up to the staff team. Which, sadly, is how you get a staff position on this server, but I dislike it.
I simply don't think you're suited to be a staff member; nor that you'd be able to handle it for very long. I also feel like you want helper for the title more than anything else.

Another point, small yes, but still a point, is your forums activity. It's been a general thing in the past for helper candidates preferably being atleast active member, preferably well-known.

All in all, it's a -1 from me, good luck though.

Besides that you seem incredibly nice and active on every aspect.

+/- You are a very nice and sweet girl, but it seems as if more than a bit of it is a façade.
+/- ForteMizuki is a name I see a lot in global, but not much of it is helping others. You are quite active, however.
+/- Personally, I think this is going to be accepted just because of staff influence and bias.
+ You are pretty known throughout the server and the forums.
- The application was mediocre at best.
- I don't think you spent a lot of time working on the application, as if you just knew you were going to be accepted. This makes me question if you have the right qualities for Helper.
- I believe you have more weaknesses.

Well, Forte, my best advice for you is to wait a few months and try again. Let us know the real Forte, not the act you're putting on. I agreed to be a reference because I truly thought you were ready. This application is making me unsure. Change my mind, Forte; I'm going to give this a -1.

 

I really appreciate your opinion(s). I felt a bit rushed because I just got home from vacation and I knew that some of the things I put in my app and said on here are going to work against me. However that will not keep me from trying and doing my best to help others out and have a good time on Meep. Thank you again!

I think this app is really good! I don't actually think I've seen you in-game(from what i can remember), but I really do like the application alot. I'll be at a +0 but I'll probably change my vote once I see you in game, because it would look bias of me to vote without actually knowing who you are. Good luck!

-Since they day I joined you have helped me feel very welcome, and comfortable on Meepcraft.
-Although this application was not the most professional, it was very personal and I believe that is just as important.
-Not only are you kind to the players on Meepcraft, but also your family. The players on Teamspeak usually notice a child in the background that is cheering you on or trying to learn. We are familiar with their attitude towards you, and some of your siblings are even familiar with the player names. We know you're not faking it when you give us a cheerful attitude.
-In all my experiences with you, there is an attempt to keep people happy or kid-friendly.

 

- staff team is already full of people that kiss a lot of bum
- we have enough staff for the 150-225 players we have
- STUDYING TOWNY COMMANDS L O L now it just sounds like you wanna look professional knowing all the commands

I don't know you well enough to know where you are in terms of server knowledge, but that's not difficult to acquire, especially given your level of activity. The things much harder to work on are the interpersonal skills, which we often describe with words like "maturity," "patience," "friendliness," etc.

There is no force on Earth that has more power to annoy than a younger sibling, and significantly younger ones in particular. I was on TS while you provided lots of technical and then Meep-specific assistance to your little sister, with frequent interruptions to your own activities in the process. If you can treat the rest of the community with half the patience and kindness you extended to her, it will be well served.

I noticed many remarks by browsing this application and comments above mine.

To start, I'd like to share with you some little advice about when you apply on forums, first thing you may want your application to be a little more taller maybe? Not just taller to talk about stuffs but I mean by that an application that makes people imagine you in real life, so beside the introduction that was a very good one, and gave me lot of informations about you, I didn't get as much as I wanted from the "why you should be helper" part, like I've seen many application and I guarantee you that the "why you should be helper" part is the more common in all of them, ofc if you apply for helper, you know in the first time that you want to help others and you may be already doing it -but- what makes you different? What tells me you deserve the position more than me who's commenting? What makes me believe I'll have you there when I need you. That was all about the application, oh also try to NOT reply back to every one or two comments, that's kind of an application approach you might want to respect, but it's not harmful to do the opposite either, actually it just makes it a lot more professional.

Second thing I was gonna talk about is maybe your activity in game, I've seen you a lot on forums, but I am not able to measure your presence in game as I myself wasn't around the server for a while so I believe I'm not qualified to rate you there but I've seen you couple times talking in shout, and I maybe want you to work more on it? Also my timezone doesn't help meeting you but yeah, improvement is always good.

Enfin pour terminer, you seem to be a very nice person and I'm just not in the right position to like um.. rate your performance in game or forums so I can't leave a + or - on your application. Though, I'd love to see you taking my comment here into consideration for either being accepted or not for an interview, especially if you're not being accepted because this will help alot. And umm.. I wish you good luck? ha

One does not need to be different to do the Helper's job. You answer kids questions and prism stuff. Dot. Also don't make this a competition, it really is just a volunteer job, she is not building her life carrier here.

Anyways, +1 you are a really nice person, been around for a while to know stuff a helper should know. Activity is great so is your attitude. Go for it, good luck.

 

By your app, you seem to be nice, and also by what a lot of others are saying.
However I have never seen you, probably because of the time zone, and by what a few people are saying, you're not there yet, but just nearly.
A little more work would probably make you fit for the job.

Forte your one of the most nicest players on meep. And your not just a regular player, your a special player but I must say I've never seen you help. Only a few times of course. So my rating is:
