As one can easily see, I am new to the forums in general. Meep seems to have a exquisite forum community, but the ideas all seem to be similar. Here's an idea from a player who normally just makes stuff blow up in factions: upgrade to 1.9 as many want, but turn off the attack speed attribute. Also disable PvP in the End so players can safely harvest dragon breath without some OP guy waiting to slaughter them. This idea would also encourage further teamwork, as to take down the dragon. I suggest this as Meep is nothing like a factions server, so why encourage camping? (You know SOMEONE is going to try that.) Hope this helps!

+1 to the idea of disabling attack speed attribute.

However, -1 to the idea of disabling PvP in the End.

I don't think disabling pvp in the End would help. I personally think that the end is a place where people can have fun and compete with each other, along with taking down the ender dragon. Disabling PvP would make it a lot more boring. If you wanted to work with other people in taking down the dragon, you'd probably have a talk with them and agree to work together.
It wouldn't really be necessary to encourage further teamwork. I don't see how that's very important. Perhaps a sign suggesting that you should work with your friends? That seems a lot better than disabling PvP entirely in the end.

Hey, maybe if people you find a group of people you'd like to team up with, YOU can become the "OP guy".

    Great suggestion though. ;)

Now, just based in my own inexperience, I have to ask, is editing enabled in all the ends? If so, it'd be much more logical to have PvP still enabled, you could just go to one of the others.

Ok then, another change I'd like to see as far as 1.9 end is a limit to block height to not much higher. I recently visited a friend's world, and he had a whole network of walkways above the main end that totally ruined the dragon fight. Literally, there were spots for TNT to drop right on top of the caged crystals!

The End is always a mess, and whenever the Wild is reset, the End is too. There is no need to limit the block height more, it's fine the way it is. Heck, the first time I visited the End in late 2014, it was a complete mess. Dragon was killed so long ago, bits of End Stone are gone, towers are used for bases, etc. Why is the End so important in your point of view?

It's not important at all right now, because the server runs in 1.8. 1.9 is a completely different story. The idea of a respawning dragon opening further gateways makes it important. Calculate it from a business point of view of the End's value: More dragons->More gateways->More End Islands. (With Chorus trees)->More loot
The End Cities are FULL of loot, so people will be hunting these nonstop. For example, I explored a few in single-player when 1.9 first came out. I got full Prot 4, UB 3 armor, 20 diamonds, and a Fortune III, Efficiency IV, Unbreaking III pick.

Then why do you care for the idea of raising the height of the block limit? Doesn't really fit well about the loot.

No no, I'm suggesting LOWERING the height limit so people can't construct the huge walkways above

We appreciate your suggestions, but we're going to wait until 1.9 actually comes out to mess with the PVP settings, and the End is meant to have PvP much like the towns wild and similar areas for more excitement/variety. Have a nice time! Denied
