Kitpvp/Pvp Mods

I think that we should have some mods for only hackers in kitpvp and pvp because I feel like this has been a huge problem recently. I would say that it really makes pvping a lot less fun when hackers take your ks (If I had one xD). I think these mods should have a lot of time on thier hands and should be trusted by the meeps.

 

-1. Current staff handle the hacker issue just fine. Regardless of if we have specific staff designated for PvP, the amount of hackers and the speed in which they are removed would remain relatively the same.

 

But isn`t that the job of the "regular" staff? To keep hackers out of the server?

 

Don't get me wrong the staff is great, but by the time they come the hacker turns off hack or logs off

 

Not really, I know tons of mods who have wrongly banned for hacking. Almost all the staff don't know what to look for and it ends up creating a lot of false positives from staff who think they actually know what hacks are. Don't get me wrong, I've cleared the names of my friends who were banned but it's annoying having them banned

+1 for pvp staff who can actually see hacks

 

fuzzlr or an admin said once that they didn't want dedicated staff like forum staff or pvp staff because it would cause a divide in the team and the communication between everyone.
how about you teach them to catch hackers "the right way"

 

I would instead have experienced players/current-staff/ex-staff train new or inexperienced staff on what hackers look like so they can easily tell who is hacking and who is not. All it takes is a few examples and keeping up to date on new clients being released. The majority of hackers on meepcraft are people who server hop with their clients and don't care to hide, toggle, or reduce angles on killaura or speed. The hackers who care to hide their hacks are players who have some sort of incentive to stay such as a town, a rank, friends, ect.

I think having the media team make a "know your hacks" video guide for the rest of the staff team would be a cool addition. Maybe add some explanation with how to spot the hack? It would make it a lot easier to train staff newbies to know the most common hacks.

 

althought i highly agree with this it'll never happen cus they don't really care haha

 

somewhere on trello there is a card to make tutorial videos for players and staff. so far, i don't think the staff videos have started. a lot of the player videos have been completed though(i have nothing to do with this)

 

The purpose of staff is to make sure the server doesn't crash and burn, sweetie. Not just to moderate KitPVP and Terrarium.

 

Well I ment to catch hackers and help with other things in towny, the whole server.

 

Brah, you guys can now ban for 1 week without proof which means if someone good gets banned for hacking they are screwed. I personally know tons of people wrongly banned for hacking. Ffs junior was banned for hacking just because he had 12000 DPI lmao. Bluapol was banned even though he was media and really cared about meep. My friend Debile who is like 3rd on badlion (pvp server) was banned because he was accused of reach which isn't even a thing. I put this suggestion in before and it's been denied because staff think they are "good" at catching hackers, I'm not saying your not. You guys can detect the obvious hacks like Kilaura but can't really detect if someone is trigger boting or just good or even just laggy. For everyone's sake please add in staff dedicated for pvp.

 

yeah +/1 A lot of staff don't know what to look for and by the time they answer your modreq everyone has left and the hacks ks is like 30

If you truly want to have hackers banned, download Bandicam or another video-recording software. Just post the vid on youtube, file a report and place the vid in that. It's actually really simple and easy to do.

Nope, I've seen atleast 4 people banned without being recorded for 1 week.
