I know it's hard to take my threads seriously nowadays but yes I can sit down and type about a topic or make very well thought out rant threads

This isn't a hate thread towards this server but like

Seeing the player count at 100 players is saddening, this server was an alive server at one point but now it's dead. It shows that the people who volunteer to make this server better are just inactive and don't give two hoots about their job on here

Don't throw a "it's 1.8" or "there's no ads" because regardless of those excuses A. We have no way of keeping players B. This server was still flopping before Minecraft updated

I support this server or whatever but like seeing nobody on is not something that's very attractive to me which is why I (and everybody else who left for the same) find no reason to log on this server.

This thread is a suggestion; Take the steps needed to make this server enjoyable for everybody

I never played when a lot of players played (like 500-1000) maybe the most that have been on with was 250 players. So if this has been happening for what.. 6 months why are you now saying something about it? Yes I understand not much people have been playing and I`m sad about that too.

 

I've seen servers like McGod world go from 1,000 players to 10 players to SHUT DOWN FOR EVER. Trust me, meep has a large loyal group still, we're doing well compared to other servers of our age.

 

I think meep was just perfect when 500 people were on at a time. It wasn't insane busy but there was so much going on.


We need to focus on towny, were trying to be something we aren't, a hub

 

Because now it's a bigger issue than ever before.

If custom towny was implimented and/or towny was actually worked on instead of left uncared for and under treated, I bet the player count would go up. Also, having repetitive minigames that are fun and popular would definitely bring more people, such as Skywars. I don't play a whole lot anymore, but I'd definitely have a reason to log on if some major (and GOOD) changes were made. Bringing back infected and HG would also help the player count, as those were two very popular and very fun minigames.

 

News flash: we are a hub at this point.

Whining on a thread isn't gonna fix anything. It just creates more drama. There are most likely projects in staff that are being currently worked on to better the server. Things take time. Rome wasn't built in a day. Some issues are more important than others, and those are the ones being worked on. As a community, all we can do is give support to keep moving forward while Meep prepares for the summer (and winter in the southern half) season.

MineCraft is a game that is losing interest. People are mostly more interested in factions and mini-game servers. Towny is declining on Meep as well because there's nothing to do if you don't staff a town. A lot of the time, if you do staff a town, stuff can get boring doing the same things over and over again.

We can't keep players because almost everyone in the community doesn't talk to the newer members and less staff. There are people who keep their money and just hoard it. There's the fact that it's 10 times easier to make meebles as an Ult than as a citizen. Almost no one sells ranks anymore. Lots of discouraging acts that the community itself can try to fix while staff handle the fixes of mini-games and Towny updates.

Instead of saying, "this sucks," "get your act together," "fix the server," and "staff are inactive and don't care;" try to help fix the issue or offer solutions on how to fix the issue. Apply for tech. Apply for staff so that the workload gets spread around a bit more.

That's the problem, we are a hub but also towny and as of now we don't have enough recourses for that, whether its techs, actual hardware or money. So we are failing at both rather than exceeding at another.

Nhjed don't be a muckraker; I too would love to see meep grow back to around 500-1,000 players but saying what you are saying isn't going to help, we all know that there's 100 players at a time maybe 200 players peaking. This just stirs up negativity and sorrow.
