Well this thread is not going to be me arguing about how bad/good the economy is on this server. I just want to know why you think the MeepCraft economy is either bad or good. I personally think its fine, mostly because I can attain meebles easy and get the items I need when I need at /pwarp`s or /warp shop. Although then there really is not a reason to play on the server if its easy to attain everything.

Meepcraft economy is bad because Minecraft economy is bad.

Minecraft doesn't require to to buy necessities such as food, water, laundry detergent, clothes, and other stuff. Because of this, everyone would rather sell an item than buy it.

We can fix this problem by eliminating infinite supply infinite demand shops such as /warp shop, which damages the economy because it destroys and creates money instead of exchanging it.

the economy works fine, all we need are things to spend money on, and a way to make citizens able to sustain their towns longer(simply reduce towny prices further).

id like you to point to any economy that works well irl or in game 7ace.

The economy is generally okay - it works, there are ways to make and lose money, but I do think that it could be A LOT better!

EDIT: I voted for bad because, like TechnoTyson, I too, am a rebel.

IMO, not enough player to player interaction. People only use chest shops to buy items for cheaper than /warp shop and sell to chest shops with high sell prices. This is a recipe that generates tons of money into the economy.

I have no problems with the economy! I find it relatively simple to sell and purchase items from any stores anywhere, but I prefer to mine items from wild and sell them in the spawn shop.

To benefit the economy we should change the currency to Dollarydoo.

It is the Australian currency in the American cartoon The Simpsons, if we have it as Dollarydoo everyone will come to Meepcraft to get the 'famous' currency.

The economy is eh, I think for now its okay but I do see that in the future it will go down, I really think its unfair how most of the people on meep have no chance at being in the top /baltop unless they dice..in reality I don't think that can be fixed really cuzz the top baltops sell ranks....but I think it would help if there was an amount limit you could sell. I really liked it when gold had a price value, the more that was sold, the less it was worth, I think that was a good system and I think if we did it with over materials it would help the economy.

The eco is fine as it is. Since the server is supposed to be a "towny" server, the main focus should be towns.
Can new players feasibly get enough money to create a town without getting bored of the server?
Can players easily manage upkeep while having enough money to expand, invest, and purchase opulence for their town?
Are there incentives for earning more meebles? i.e pets, rank upgrades, or larger, more opulent towns?
And finally, are there enough ways that a player can realistically make money without getting bored of a constant grind or run out of resources?

If these questions fail to provide realistic answers, then the economy is in trouble. The importance of the economy in the server is to draw players in, hook them, and then keep them here so they will donate. What players should be worried about is whether or not new players are coming to the server, staying, donating, and then staying as donators to continue to play and support the player-base as experienced and contributing members. Whether diamonds are worth 40, 400, or 4000 and whether gold prices fluctuate like a real supply and demand economy is rather pointless, especially when we are failing to meet our monthly donation goals.
