    Please stop.
You don't need a $2500 gaming computer. A lot of the cost you incurred is tacked on extras that you don't need, or are unbalanced.

What are you doing with the computer? Games, video editing, overclocking competitions? What games will you be playing? Will you be overclocking? What is your (REALISTIC) budget? You don't have a job, keep it simple and low. And just remember, in a month or two any build you put together will be worthless, so buy it quick. Prices and parts change very often.
Same goes for you. What are you doing with the computer, what games will you be playing, are you overclocking or not? When are you buying it?

First one I've replied to in awhile. I felt this was the rare one I'd actually try and help with, rather than point and laugh at.

Holy crap sack I was tagged, that must mean you have faith in me, there for I must deliver!!!

Oke so first I really like how it looks, solid choice with the 970 and i5

PSU seems pretty low though, I might recommend going a little cheaper on the disc drive and get a 600-700 watt because a nice monitor like a g sync 144 hertz is gonna be like 100 watts itself and you need room for upgradability.

idk if you like win 8.1 more than 10, but if not 10 home 64 bit is 4 dollars cheaper and in my opinion better.

I think that 16 gigs of DDR4 is over kill, unless of course you are going to be rendering/intense photoshoping. So unless its a very small difference I would go with like 8 gigs.

So you said you need to keep it under 2.5k so that means you have leeway so ima recommend you go for the i7 6700k that's the best cpu for gaming right now and its only $100 more, I don't have to much intel experience so I'm not sure if you would need a new motherboard socket or not. But the i5 you got is great right now but in maybe 2-3 years it will be the equal to my x4 860k especially if you get into virtual reality so I think it would really be worth it to spend that extra 100.

But overall, I see really crappy PC builds that I kinda laugh at, but this build looks really really solid.

I left this as the bottom because your probably not gonna be able to do this and the i7 but if you can get your hands on a EVGA 980 ti wind force or 980 ti strix I really do recommend that.

Your computer basically has all the specs mine has and mine can basically run any game around 1080 which to be honest is all you need if not a bit more. And 2.5k on a gaming pc when your a kid is kind of a little pricey and you dont even have job. I think if you want to make your computer any better either get better liquid cooling and overclock it or bump up the processor but even after all that your computer is still really good.

I plan on a gaming and HDMI- enabled monitor. Going for function, rather than form. I have the space, just need the machine.

Alright, we're gonna go one by one here.
    iamverysmart.jpg

An R9 390 is better in every way than a 970, and costs the same. Unless OP is overclocking, getting an unlocked version of any intel processor is a bad idea. I'd stay way from Skylake aswell, get a 4670 instead. Cheaper overall, and you aren't making the jump from DDR3 to DDR4.
.....Come again? Since when does the monitor draw from the power supply? I don't follow you, at all.
Personal preference, at this point. As long as OP is getting a 64-bit copy of Windows, it doesn't matter what he gets as long as it's the cheapest copy.
This is probably the only thing I slightly agree with you on. RAM is funny in that it's only wasted if it's not being used. Getting a 16gb kit over an 8gb kit would be a waste if OP never used more than 8gb, but if he went over, it's definitely not a waste. That reason can be more than just rendering or editing.
No, this whole paragraph is wrong. The fact that you couldn't be arsed to find out if he needed a new motherboard or not is enough to tell me you don't know what you're talking about. Getting an i7 over a better GPU is not at all what OP should be doing. An x4 860k is not at all comparable to the latest Intel processors. Not at all. When did OP mention anything about VR?
OP should be getting a better GPU rather than a better CPU if all OP is doing is gaming. A Fury or Fury X would be better anyways, especially with DX12 coming into play soon.

Please do your research before trying to help.
Better liquid cooling and overclocking is not the answer for OP, not at all.
What games will you be playing? I'll assume you aren't gonna overclock or do anything fancy.

I know nothing about this. But if you're making a computer, you need a monitor. Your graphics, colors, speed, are only as good as your monitor. If you want a 26inch monitor (corner to corner) then expect to pay up to 400$

I do have to say how ever, with virtual reality becoming more and more popular, to not use it on a so far like 1.8k build would be kinda disappointing to me :/ and maybe not as low as the 860k but if games coming out today meet or go above the standards of games like the witcher 3, it's going to fall in a ditch within a few years

That was a pretty snobby and unneeded remark, I simply was tagged in this so I wanted to help to the best of my knowledge ;)

    GPU:
    R7 260x Overclock iCafe edition

    RAM:

    PSU:
    Evga 430 watt

    MOTHERBOARD:
    Gigabyte F2A68HM-H

HDD: 2 wd blue 1tb drives, you only need 1 but I do te youtubes so I need space for games and videos.

Nononono, same as before, too many extravagant extras, and a horrible GPU to boot. Do you want Windows 8.1 or 10? Are you going to be streaming or just recording for Youtube? Do you need all those peripherals?
I didn't know a decent 27" monitor needed to be $400. Like I said, do research before contributing, please. Monitors are monitors, for 95% of people any old monitor will do.
I believe this was a very much needed remark, fase. Not snobby, only true. You do need to do your research before you try and help. You thought an X4 860 was comparable to a 6600k, a quick google search later and you would have realized an X4 860 is horrible compared to a 6600k. Simple things like this that mean a lot to OP are important, and you need to research them.

What you are failing to see is that I'm saying at the rate in which graphics and gaming in general is evolving that CPU is gonna fall far behind in 2-3 years and the 860k will be like a Pentium from a windows 98 build, Right now I 100% know it doesn't compare to any intel cpu's that are like 100 or more
