Try February 2014, both sister schools get flooded and we're forced to close for a week, followed by February vacation and 3 more snow days, for a total "vacation" of 19 days

Snow Day in the USA: morning frost that melts in 20 minutes

Snow Day here in Canada: 40cm of snow overnight.

I haven't had a snow day in almost 2 years.
    I love being Canadian!

I live in California, so no snow days for me..
We get tomorrow off though, and then in two weeks, we have spring break.

lol, that's just the southern states. New England gets a crap ton of snow that either melts in a 1-7 days or stays as mush throughout all of winter. We even get snow in April. We had a snow day on the second day of spring and it was around 20 degrees, then it melted the next day and it was 60 degrees. The weather here is so random

School is never called off because of snow down under, even when it's scorching hot we still have to go. :(

Lucky. I live in BC and it's all rain. No snow. I've NEVER had a snow day, and the temperatures rarely drop below freezing.

In 2014, our teachers had a strike, and we got summer break two weeks early, plus another month or extended summer break at the end of August. So it ended up being nearly two months of extended vacation.

Sadly, no. I moved south, a lot closer to the lake, but I went to Annete P.S. And would have attended Humberside Collegate, but, wow. For 7 years I lived 20 minutes away from a stranger I would meet one day.(online) But, I'm ok that I moved, I'm now in a house 5 times larger than 241 Quebec avenue. To explain this a bit better.

First house (8 minutes away from Emily Carr H.S.)
Second home (20 minutes from EC)
    Third home(120 hours from EC)
    4th home(120hours & 1 minute from EC)
    5th Home(1 hour from EC)

Wait no way does your school do wonderland trips at the end of the year?

Well I spoke too soon. A tree or something coated in ice fell on the substation half a block from my house causing it to explode(or something like that) so no power from 11-5am, and I didn't sleep either. When something explodes 3 times with a white flash each time that sounds like electrical zaps, and all you hear is sirens, it's hard to sleep.

I'm homeschooled too, so you're not alone, Munkee.
I don't take snow days, I pick when I take spring break, when I start for the day, get to crank up headphones while I work, and pick which curriculum I use.
And you wonder why I'm a WWII history buff and a sesquipedalianist. . .

Uhm. no. I've gone to school when there has been 3 feet of snow on the ground and constant snow for days.
We can get all 4 seasons in a single day. Welcome to lovely Colorado.
