Meep Purge

I was watching The Purge the other night, and got an idea: let's have a purge on Meep. All areas of the server have PVP on, except for town spawns and main spawn (camping). This could happen every month, for 24 hours. I understand some people might not want to do this, so maybe the day before, each player could do /purge yes, or /purge no. You cannot change once it is cast. Opening someone's doors/trapdoors and such is allowed (so people can't just hide in their homes) but destroying blocks and such isn't. Before the purge, you could do /purge team (player/players) to form a team. That player would need to do /purge team agree (player). Teammates cannot harm each other. For each kill they accumulate, they get points. At the end of the 24 hours, the team (or individual) with the most points wins a prize. I realize a ton of coding goes into doing this, but I do sincerely think it would be a fun thing to do monthly, just to shake things up. Thoughts, modifications to the idea are welcome, as well as constructive criticism. Thank you

Yea why don't we just dig out of that plugin garbage bin and pull out the towny war plugin (I know that's not how it works but seriously the purge thing is literally like towny war).

This would be fun, and the option to opt out eliminates the need for hating it. In addition, all new players on the day of "the purge" would be opted out automatically. It would be terrible to join Meep on that day and get slaughtered immiedietly.

This would be very difficult for staff to control raging players that lost maybe a diamond or two. Also, does this include global too?

I love losing players and killing servers!

-1, this is literally one of the worst suggestions I've seen, besides some of my first ones, no offense. It's a cool idea, but it won't work here. I'm not trying to be rude, if I come across like that.

-1. New players will hate this and, the day they join they will be immediately killed and they will be so sad, they will quit, possibly losing a potential staff member/community member. Also, even if /purge no is there, people who come back after a long break will rage and quit. And honestly, nobody wants their home raided. It's so much pain and they hate it so much. Believe me, I've experienced it before.

 

I have a question that applies to all of the people who joined in like 2015 and up

Who are you to have an opinion that impacts this server? Do you really have all the knowledge to make good suggestion on this server?

You really shouldn't comment as if you know everything.

My point on this thread: It has it's pros and cons but there's so many cons on this server why bother
