I'm disappointed.

Today, I learned Burritoh wanted to leave meep due to bullying. This is a MAJOR issue. We are a family friendly server. Screw swear words, kids know those already, staff need to focus on BULLIES. So many a player have quit meep due to bullying, we must stop this. Maybe staff are doing stuff behind the scene. I personally haven't seen many bullies go away.

People bullied someone who was giving away selflessly thousands of dollars to meep. How can this happen? Did staff stop it from happening? No. Maybe they tried. Trying just isn't enough. More consequences should be put in place for repeated bullying such as balance clears or annual bans.

Even if it's a joke, it can hurt. I know some of the spam hate Burritoh got was jokes, and were by good people, but others were repetitive jerks.

This should be our new goal. Make it so someone, anyone!, can join meep, and feel safe from the bullyies and jerks, and play safely.

Please correct me in comments if staff are doing more, and post more stories and experiences on meep below, please.

Still need that, but less enforced, like when I try to get @LadyCass 's attention in Wild for the supply drop and I type /w cass? and it says "Inappropriate language is not allowed on Meepcraft blebhlebhleb" so stuff like that should be less enforced.

Honestly, people need to stop hurting Burritoh's feelings. All he's doing is donating to the server because he wants to. And, of course, whenever people try to be nice to him, people always assume they're doing it for a free rank-up or meebles. Just shut the hell up already about that. That is the reason why there was flame in global chat on Sunday. It was because a few people decided to be asshats about Burritoh in the chat, and everyone defended him because of it.

 

I really never see what is going on, because I rarely look In chat, but I know its there once in a while. I've been bullied. Alot. It really hurts. This is a serious problem, and needs to be stopped asap.

 

So, many players leave Meep on a daily basis due to trolling and bullying.

So just because some ex-scammer comes on here and starts giving away ranks, and then threatens to leave due to being "bullied" we gotta make a whole thread about it?

What about the guy who was trolled by Fasehed he had a whole video posted on the forums showing him getting bullied. No one made a thread then.

Its kinda annoying seeing everyone suck up to this guy for free ranks. Just saying.

I created this post for all being bullied, Burritoh being my key example.

 

@Burritoh is kind for giving free ranks away I bought many people ranks the past 2 months and cut down my prices a lot I shouldn't have but I did due to I'm kind u guys are ignorant and mean to burritoh for no reason at all ecept omg he was a scammer long ago who tf cares that's old I stole over 23 million worth of diamonds and do u see people not letting me be assistant or co-mayor in there towns they still do because it was the past long ago let it be byegones and move on he is a good person tbh I'm thinking of leaving meep itself if bullying don't stop then that's me and burritoh 2 donators that donate to the server a lot this month I spent over $500 on this server didn't have to but did and I get bullied about me being elite selling ult people calling me a scammer and shit tbh I'm done with this if meep don't change in the coming month I'm done I'm leaving meep and will not come back and no one will find any of my stuff I will dig a whole in wild and bury it all on bedrock then fill in the spaces so no one will ever find it and that's over 24 mil worth of things I will not give any of it out if I leave meep I will not give meebles I will just leave without a word and platonicascend I will get u supreme before I go if I do because of our deal to the others I'm selling if I leave meep u will not get the ranks and my list will be done I'm giving meep till the 30th to change atleast what they do tourds bullies

 

Yes, there are people being bullied. Yes, there are bullies. Both parties need to grow up a little bit.
If everyone chilled out there would be no issue. Both sides of the burritoh story are in the wrong. You're being biased.

There will always be bullies.
There will always be jerks.
There will always be these people.
Threatening to leave will not change this fact.

People were apprehensive to burritoh because let's be honest, it was suspicious.
People were being mean to him to again being honest, he was being annoying as hell.
People take reasons for this. May be dumb ones, but hey, whatareyagonnado.

It's up to you to choose to give into those people, give them what they want, or just ignore them and rise above i.
Don't let the bad people win.

 

Oh really? You know nothing of what I've told staff, and if you were on yesterday, you would have seen what klutch did. I had told them once someone started, then I told them after someone told me to go die, then I told them after it all unraveled 100% more, and then they did something because it was happening so much, and there was more than enough evidence that people were doing it. If you're not 100% sure, please remain quiet on the subject, as everything you've said has been wrong. Thank you.

Okay, so it's now my fault that people did not make threads about other cases? Mine is a lot more than others I'm sure, it's not just bullying anymore when your told to go die. It's worse, and I've been told other things, things I will not repeat here. Did they alert staff? If so, staff probably handled it. I had told staff of my bullying, not other people. THE PROBLEM IS THAT PEOPLE WILL NOT STOP LIKE A REGULAR CASE. And I do feel bad that other players were bullied, I hope they were treated fairly and handled by staff.

Thank you for this post. It's valuable to me, as everyones is. I'm not sure how I was being annoying. Threads? Don't click on my threads then, please. My donating? I've been long requested alerts don't pop up when I donate. It is suspicious, but you will just have to wait and see. The bullying needs to stop for everyone though. No, it never will completely, but it can a major amount. It's like smoking, drugs, or anything else, even smaller things.

You need to take a chill, I am not saying that it's your fault people didn't make threads about other bullying cases, I honestly dont even care.

What I am saying is here comes some guy that starts giving out free ranks, and all the sudden everyones gotta jump up and protect this guy, and be a donkey kisser.

There have been "bullies" on Meep since the beginning of meepcraft, it's something you need to learn to deal with. They are random people on the internet.

The difference is no one goes and makes threads to defend the little guys until they can some how gain from doing it.

Well you must have missed this. But I have both publicly and privately acknowledged that there were many flaws and problems with what I did in that video. Bringing up the past isn't really going to help in this situation. Clearly I have shown that I am not proud of that video but will not take it down since that would be an act of cowardliness. Right now is now and then was then.

I would protect someone else that got bullied :/ And it's because the amount of people do it to me is massive. It's not one or two or if your a 'popular meeker' 10 or so, it's a lot more. These people that defend me, they're nice hearted, and I know that don't want gain for a fact, as I've told them I won't be giving away more ranks or meebles.
