By now I would have expected it to be removed, but it hasnt so ill just give it a quick rundown on why it should be removed.

The vshop cap at 10000 items right now is silly, it restrict bulk sellers from listing many items at once.
Removal of vshop can also have a big impact on the server AND the players, how?
Simple, with the selling tax, say a player is to sell a bulk item of quartz blocks, He sells 4000 quartz blocks @ 80 each, with a tax of 5%, thats 16000 being removed from the economy. He also puts a large sale of 20000 oak logs @ 15 each, with a 15000 meeble tax.

All in all, the removal of vshop cap helps pretty much everyone.

what about the players who want to sell just a few items for a high price? are they really going to want to wait for the cheaper sellers' items to sell out? And even if they sell a bunch of things for an even lower price the seller above them will have to wait. People don't need to buy as much from the vshop or any shops for that matter because of perks (eg: /fix, /nv (no more torch needs), etc.). I think removing the cap would not encourage a more diverse market; it would be more stagnant. I realise this could go either way but I think the perks we have are the only thing pushing this the other way.

It's capped so people don't use it as an alternative to /chest

That would work as a solution, for people that aren't too rich

    I don't get it.
That's why taxes are there. Besides, do you know how many items is 10K? It's probably used as a chest anyways.

As someone who regularly sells a ton of items in vshop and constantly has to wait for items to get sold before I can place more, +1. In fact, having an item limit is only detrimental, given that the one exploit (using as a chest) is already discouraged by a 5% Seller's Tax. With the limit, you're removing less meebles from the economy by me and many others than what could be.

That's why you undercut. It doesn't work this way in real life; if you want to sell just a few items for a high price you can do it at your own chest shop. With all due respect, trying to sell very few items at a very high price is just dumb--why are we even protecting the kind of people who try this?

There's literally NO advantage in selling few items for a high price on MeepCraft. In real life, businesses can pull it off because they prioritize convenience over low prices, but in MeepCraft, buying 1 torch for 5 isn't more convenient than buying 100 torches for 3. If you want to sell your items, put them up for a competitive price. It's an ECO server, for Christ's sake.

This is why there's a tax on vshop. If you price your items too low, there's a chance that someone will buy your items. Conversely, if you price your items too high, you'll get killed by the tax.

Besides, if you're rich enough to afford the tax and use it as a chest anyway, the tax will take money out of the eco. It's a win-win.

EDIT: Sorry, this sounded snarkier than it was supposed to be. Apologies.

I have seen 0 evidence that the cap is helping the market, to be honest grass shouldnt be 100 meebles, and lots of people who devote hours to resource collection can't always log in every day and type 5000 commands to refill their shop

Since we tax the shop transactions, the argument "infinite storage shouldnt be free" is void.

    strong +1
