Wild Reset

I know what you are thinking what this is: "Okay, wild is drained of resources already, reset it!" Nope! I am very happy to have a wild reset every three-five months, as it is now.

My suggestion is to officially announce these resets on the forums or in-game. This way, people get excited for the wild reset, and will dive straight in as soon as it resets. After all, it is rarely a bad idea to build anticipation, correct? In addition, this would allow more planning on the part of the players. Say I am mining, and I take a break for the day. Overnight, wild resets, and I didn't mine all the ores out of the cave. Given, this is a very shortsighted example, as they can find a new cave, but it is more about the frustration.

But people get excited and start mining and stuff within 24 hours
I get it but I kinda don't
I also see an opportunity for, "the wild is being reset in an hour ,I'm gonna dupe or xray really quick so they can't catch me"

My friend once used x-Ray on meep (he is banned), meep has x-Ray protection so even if they wanted to use it, it would be pointless.

 

Not really. Its extremely easy to xray on meep.

Nah. I just know that catching an xray'er is easy and a ton of people do it. I've used xray on singleplayer and other servers.
Anti xray does nothing.

 

Thanks, @Muunnkee - Alexia for pointing out this possible flaw. To be honest, it is easy to X-Ray any time, because what is the most obvious sign of X-Ray? The hole is! All some fool would need to do is cover it up.

In case anyone is worried I have X-Rayed, let me just say I have never even used a different texture pack. My point is that it is rather easy to X-Ray any time.

Oh no that does nothing. It's extremely easy to catch if you just have the right staff tools.

 

Fair enough, but my point is it is easy to X-Ray any time, known reset or not.

 

My point is it's easy to do xray an hor or so before a known reset and therefore, the wild is now gone, staff have no proof, xrayer gets away clean. I'm pretty sure this is why it's random anyways.

 

This cannot happen because of potential dupers and x-rayers going wild when they hear that the wild will reset and that they will not be caught. Thanks for the suggestion but this is denied.
