I think this would be a good idea for the people who can't download Teamspeak.
Discord is basically Teamspeak with a different setup that you don't have to download. If you do want to join

I'm certainly hoping this wouldn't be a suggestion that would be implemented into staff applications or anything like that. I'd think of this more as a personal preference.

Some people can't get discord either. What's your point?

 

How well known is Discord?
Can it be used with an overwolf overlay? (Something I like about ts)
Is the quality and server lag the same or better as ts?
Can it do everything ts can?

tbh I prefer Discord over Teamspeak.

 

How would someone have trouble downloading Teamspeak? If you mean their computer can't handle ts, then that also wouldn't make sense as I highly doubt that same system could handle discord.

 

Discord can also be used browser-side

 

It got popular at the start of 2016 (apparently) to be frank, I didn't know Teamspeak existed until I joined Meepcraft.

I found the quality to be better than Teamspeak tbh. There are times when Speech becomes laggy (due to my 3 brothers who also play games)

I think it can do more than what Teamspeak can do.

bots that can do multiple things (All you have to do is connect it to the server, some have NSFW commands that you can disable) Some have a leveling system /xp that shows how active you are on the server (Could help with applications)

You can post gifs / dank memes / also chat in chatbar.

Toggle other user volume (Basically if someone is annoying you, you can mute them yourself)

You can easily connect to other servers while still be connected

It's free on phone, unlike teamspeak, so you can stay connected to Meepcraft wherever you go. Chat msg's are just like txt msg's on your phone. I use it all the time @ work. You can also disable (mute) the entire server to avoid getting txt bombed.

Profile pictures (that aren't on the side)

There can be around 1,000 people on a server, which isn't a big issue for us.


I hated discord @ first, but I actually use it more than Skype / TS combined now.

Teamspeak has some pretty nice backend management but most users just need the basics which why I prefer discord. Discord can be used in a web browser, downloaded as an app, or used on your smartphone/tablet for FREE. Teamspeak just doesnt have those features. I find that I have equal performance in games with discord compared to teamspeak.

so essentially i got banned from my computer


for like 3 months rip

then i had to use a crappy chromebook (which i am using to type this rn)

on which, ofc, you cant get either minechat or minecraft or ts (screw you google)

and dont tell me to put it in dev mode and switch os', i dont want to break it

this would help people who dont want to pay for ts on their phones as well, it is free;
