re-enable towny jail's

when i was looking through towny commands online, i saw /plot set jail and /t jail [player].

we should re-instate these commands to make towny more interesting and allow towns more ways to enforce rules besides plot loss or kick, possibly making more players stay on meep for longer.

 

Some functions of towny were never finished. IE: /plot set spleef.

Towny in itself is a very complex plugin.

What would jails do? What if I just warped out of the jail?

What's the point of it? Sounds like a waste of time imo.

Also, like Deinen said there are some un finished commands like /plot set spleef and I think they should be removed first..

 

You can't warp out of jails. I' pretty sure in the config you can only do a couple of commands. I'm also pretty sure there are only 3 ways to get out. 1) Use enderpearls 2) Pay your way out 3) Get released

 

If I could be trapped by others players, why would I willingly play?

 

You can only be captured during a towny war, and only by curtain people in the town. So you can easily avoid being captured. You can slo only be captured in enemy territory i'm pretty sure, so just don't go into the enemy town.

 

I thought jails were for players who broke the rules in a town...

This would literally just lead to money grubbers (nuker) trapping citizens in his town and then making them pay out.
