Clear Lag Warnings

Hello,

As someone who has lost quite a lot of valuable items (mainly heads) from clearlag, I was thinking of ways to prevent it, I remember on old meepcraft a long time ago There were little things that said "20 seconds till clearlag" or "Warning: clearlag imminent" or something like that, so umm... can we have those back?

 

It's not the old clear lag it's minecrafts natural vanilla clear lag

 

Oh rly? then they should bring back the old one that told me when i would lose 500k heads.

 

Wonder if we could make a timer then to go around that, I presume the natural clear lag is set on a clock or something and not at random.

 

wrong, vanillas way of dealing with items is that they will disappear 5 minutes after they have been dropped in an active chunk

as far as I remember fuzzlr changed clear lag so that every item had their own timer, plugin is probs just broken

 

Aww man you got me again! Just repeating what admin said when I was staff and his was suggested.

Anyways the current clear lag system is not the same as the old one and there is most likely just a hidden timer rotating that clears items without warning. Try transferring with chests since this will probably not be fixed for a long time.

 

This doesn't work when breaking heads from a wall.

All we need to do is have a system that sends out alerts. You can toggle it on or off at will with a command (possibly /cltoggle?). It is beyond annoying to lose items just because they hit they flew out at the wrong time. Today, I lost a manuscript I was working on when it got thrown out on accident at the wrong time. Did I mention this manuscript was a book and quill containing 20 pages of data? Quite literally, it cannot be replaced. I'm not mad about it, more frustrated at the way the system works.

 

I know what you mean. I wrote a 34 pg long story in mc in survival and my friend who was playing with me burned it when I was done. : (

 

That is virtually the worst. I never give anyone the originals once they're signed. Always give them copies, just always.

 

Another good thing to do is have a typed backup on your computer or write it out irl

falls of cliff, gets down 30 second later, stuff is gona, quits meep for 1 1/2 hours
it should either be the vanilla 5 minutes on each item or happen every 10 minutes or something

This has already been denied as it was said to have already been on Trello, but the last edit that was made on the Trello card more than several months ago; so yes, I believe that attention should again be brought upon this issue as it is very infuriating to lose irreplaceable items.
