Vote Crates

Hello,

A bunch of people were talking about how the voting system is bad, so I put my 2 cents in, and a couple people said it would be cool, and eventually advised me to post it here. My idea is that You vote and get a "vote key" or something, there would be a room at spawn, or perhaps a command, that let you select from a variety of "vote crates", there would be the citizen vote crate, which would have all Perk notes like fly, feed, craft, etc. then there would be a VIP crate, a Premium crate, a exclusive crate, a Elite crate, A supreme crate, and a legend crate. These would each have some (purely cosmetic, as to not violate EULA) notes/perk things. You would get the perks randomly from each crate. IIRC the legend crate could have actual perk notes and stuff, as you can no longer donate to it and stuff. anyway this is just my idea.

What types of Notes and Perks would come in each crate? It would be nice if you made an outline showing the specific notes for each 'rank crate'.

Correct me if I'm wrong in my summary: Add notes together into a package, and create multiple packages of different note sets. Each package can be chosen after voting using a key.

Are the 'keys' to these packages going to be random, or will they work along with the voting currency suggestion where you have to save up multiple keys to get to the next 'rank crate'?

 

+1 Love this idea many servers have this incorporated into them and when it comes to the idea of ranked voting crates maybe instead have more of a percentage of getting better loot from the ranked voted crates or have a weekly or monthly chest for people that have donated this will also make it so more people will start donating for crates with a chance of getting notes, armor, ores, cash etc.... anything that people would want to win from donation crates

No, you get 1 crate opening per key, the only way you can get the next ranks crate is by ranking up. It doesn't violate EULA because the perks are cosmetic in the donor crates.

Id say same stuff maybe better percentage though because you cant add stuff to a chest that the normal no ranked chests have because it would tilt towards pay to win. and maybe just more chance of winning a bigger meeble prize depending on rank to ?

 

Well, we can't put any of the effect notes in any of the ranked crates, as that will violate EULA, I don't really know about what would be balanced, what would be good incentive, etc etc

 

Well i thought as long as normals have effects in their chests too its just ranked people have a higher chance of winning them but Im still trying to figure out how the EULA works :/

 

So we can't do this, you can't make donating give you better chances, you can make the crates give better cosmetics though. My suggestion would be voting exclusive pets to create a pet market, (effect?) notes, and other stuff like that. you could make a 0.1% chance with one of the chests giving you a yellow named peice of armor, in a similar way to the conquerer armor. this would add something to collect that is hyper rare, and would be another end game thing for high ranked people who tend to get bored.

+1 I really love vote crates. Mostly because it's a physical system (chests) rather than a GUI.

 

unless we can make it look special. almost every other server that i see has voting crates and it's starting to look really uncreative. if we can make it in a special way that's not the same old boring "crates" as other servers, i'm all for it.

(maybe like uhh you unlock a little 30 second minigame and depending on whether or not you complete it you get a better or worse prize?)

 

I rather just have the voting crates w/o the minigame

 

maybe we could have people go on a short little quest to find the crates?

 

If blocks were worth more in the economy, then this could work
