MH370

So I don't know if a thread has already been made about this, I tried searching but found nothing.

Anyways. What do you think happend to the flight, MH370? It was a while ago but they've been finding some parts of the plane and it's really odd to think what would have happend. From what I've seen in the news, I'm alongside the other people who think it's lying somewhere down in the bottom of the Indian ocean. Those poor people.


And sorry if this isn't a debate, feel free to move it to discussions, staff members.

People think it was hijacked and landed on a secret island somewhere, but I did see news they found part of a plane wing that might belong to it. Either it was hijacked or the entire plane just went up in flames ;(

Yeah it was pretty long time ago and pretty sad what would have happend. Just imagine those families waiting for their loved ones to come back

 

Sadly, most of the outcomes, percentage wise, are going to be down to human error, i.e. pilot made a mistake. The second possibility is an error in the planes inner workings that was not found which could have been due to, yet again human error. However, in the small possibility that something else happened, it is likely that it was a planned attack. Sad that sometimes, you just got to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

 

No, it most likely wouldn't be human error, pilots only actually fly when taking off or landing. The pilots just keep their hands on the stick in case it goes wrong. There are even stories of both pilots falling asleep and landing safely later.

9/11 was more than just the towers, a plane hit the pentagon and I forgot where the other was going

It intentionally crashed, they found that the pilot was using the simulator to practice what amounted to suicide run.

The article also says that the flight plan went to 'an unnamed island in the south indian ocean', however the truth is that there are no islands in that area with airfields long enough to land a B777.

He did practice a flight to Diego Garcia, an island in the Indian ocean close to the equator, however this flight was one of thousands he had practiced on his sim. Hardly evidence that he intentionally crashed the plane into the ocean.

Also, if you were going to commit suicide, why fly the plane for hours and hours? Why not just push the stick forward and get it over with? Seems odd to me that he would fly the plane for 7 hours until running out of fuel, just to commit suicide.

Why would terrorists set the course of the plane towards the South Indian ocean? They also obviously looked into the backgrounds of every single passenger, and it was found that none of them were suicidal nor did any have ties to terrorist groups. It's extremely unlikely that someone took over the plane.

Also, ask yourself this, if it really was a terrorist, why would so-called terrorist murder 152 Chinese people? I could see why a terrorist group would target American Airlines or British Airways, but a Malaysian Airlines flight to China? Doesn't make sense...

The fourth target was the white house btw.

Pilots don't only fly when taking off and landing lol. Yes, technically the autopilot steers the plane, but the pilots have to tell the autopilot what to do every time they have to change altitude, or change the course, etc.
And they don't constantly keep their hands on the stick.... lol.
And yes obviously there are stories of both pilots falling asleep and safely landing later, that is because they were both a sleep at the same time for a very short period. Maybe 10 minutes.

Yea that's the one where the people regained control. It still crashed with (I believe) no survivors. I wonder why the other planes didn't try to regain control if they knew they were going to die either way

 

If youre talking about the other 9/11 flights, they probably had no idea what was going on because it had never really happened before.

 

The other one was headed for the white house, I believe, but the passengers un-hijacked it and crashed it into a field.

If he wanted to go out in a blaze of glory, why crash the plane in a place it would be very hard to find?
