Silk touch TNT

Ever since the EULA enforcement by microsoft, meep has been struggling to find new things that are unique and would bring in new players.

While mining mind-numbingly large quantities of clay from a mesa biome with @Twomoo, i had an idea. Meep should add a new item/items that would make gameplay easier for people.

The one that immediately came to my mind was an item called Silk Touch TNT which, when set off, would act exactly like normal TNT, except it drops the item for every block it breaks. This would be useful for mining and could be added to /warp shop as an item that only players of a certain rank or higher can get (but obviously every player would be allowed to own it).

Something like this is already in use in meep (grappling hook) and it wouldn't take too much effort to copy this for other items.

So this is basically TNT mining with a pickaxe? This would seem rather op unless there is a chance system. (5% chance for a non-damage tnt explosion to occur.) Or a cooldown if it's a right click ability?

I am confused at this bit. I thought you cannot let higher ranked players get items easier than lower ranked players? It's been awhile since I've talked about EULA. Maybe just make it in the shop for around 50k and have an enchantment chance of obtaining the book in the e-table? (obviously rare)

There should be a Haste 2 pickaxe with 30 s - 1 min use time and a 10 min cooldown. (I'm just throwing more ideas out there.)

-1 I love the concept of adding new items to make Meep feel more unique and set apart from the rest so to speak (whether it would work or not is a different discussion) however, i can see this being exploited and possibly, as this is still an economy server, making it easier for people with those highet /bal players to get even more meebles, whilst leaving people with less feel like they'd have to buy it in order to keep up. However, this is how an economy server is supposed to run. Idk spilt about it.

What about if we just put it in the citizen shop?

Or not even in a shop at all, Irdk, Just assume we don't violate the EULA with putting it for ranks.

 

You seemed confused by your post. This is a suggestion to add a new kind of TNT to the game that, when it explodes near blocks, it drops all the items from those blocks (may be enchanted with fortune???) as opposed to normal TNT which only drops some of the items

 

How does it break the EULA? this new TNT would be available to purchase in one of the donor shops by people of X rank or above. However, any e would be allowed to own and use the item.

This is exactly like items such as spawners and diamonds work in /warp shop now.

 

Add this as another suggestion... Maybe haste 2 could be a booster that could be purchased @junelawnchaired

Make it available to everybody or don't make it available at all. Enough of the pay to win stuff.

 

The plan was to make it like spawners. They're available to everyone but they can only be bought from warp shop by people of certain ranks or higher.

That doesn't mean high ranks cant buy for lower ranks. Also if we add a new item, chest-shop store owners will start selling it to everyone.

they are. Just like spawners and diamonds, a cit can ask a ranked player to buy the item for them. why do people keep saying this without reading past responses? i've said this at least 3 times now...

Personally, I think the shop should not be ranked restricted and should just be available to everyone. Why restrict it for someone when somebody else who is ranked can just get it for them?

 

I would post that as a new suggestion. This thread is for discussing the new item I proposed, not about how /warp shop works...
