Helper Application from Dawn

Dawn has been told the past three or four times he has applied to work on his immaturity and impatience. It has not been worked on, whether that is because he can't or won't I don't know, and it doesn't matter. If it isn't changing now, why would a helper tag make any difference?

I wouldn't say I'm holding his past against him, but it certainly has to be considered, and be a part of my vote. How could it not? If we were talking a year or more in the past, sure, but we're talking a few months ago.

So, Dawn, I haven't checked on the server enough to see how you're doing. But I have been checking the forums everyday, and when you resigned/were demoted from the staff team, it looked like as if you were relieved from being as an example from other players. I can't list any examples, but from what I've seen, you have a small layer of immaturity on you (I shouldn't say small in this situation).

When you earned the Helper rank for the first time, I did not like you the first time I saw you on the Staff Team. I had no trust in you and your posts made my trust level also go down. Now, I can already see you making a few mess-ups while on the team again.

If you think having an attitude like that towards Andrew is okay, you're very wrong.

Nobody said a helper tag would make a difference.
Impatience and immaturity is the two main things that you point out and see as a problem. My point is that he has a hard time working on impatience, so in my opinion the staff could do something to help him out, wether he is a part of the team or not. He is a possible staff member and I can't see why he has to work on this all by himself when, as you say, he clearly has a hard time with it, when it comes to posting an application and so on. None of the staff members (as far as I know) have done anything to help Dawn, sure you tell him that he has to work on his impatience and do something about it. Sometimes it's just hard to do that if you're not sure how.

I am not saying that what was done in the past shouldn't be a part of your vote, not at all. What I am saying is that you should try to get to know Dawn a little more before casting your vote, wether it changes it or not.
Months, years.. it's all the same anyway. My point is that he has changed from his last run as a staff member, and I want you to see it, even if it doesn't change your vote.

 

There is nothing I can help with as far as I know, majority of his problems are his personality.

 

I know your only supposed to put 1 comment or whatever and I know some say "if you don't know the person don't comment" but I feel I should. 2Leah2, you say he needs help, and he isn't receiving it from the "team" but how can you expect someone who needs a lot of help to be apart of the team? what do I mean by this? for example, I needed a lot of help when I applied for the first time and the second time, However I changed the things people told me to change. I used to be a toxic person, I would pick and pick and pick until someone would argue with me, idk why I did this I just did. then I realized I wanted to be a helper, and I applied, obviously getting denied I took what people had to say not once, but twice and fixed the issue. I don't know Dawn that well I have only had 1 conversation with him, and the chat I had I will admit was very good I even spoke on teamspeak with him, I enjoyed it, but again he should fix his
1.) Attitude
2.) Impatience
3.) Trustworthy capabilities
Within the app he made mention of the person he "slept with" again, He isn't taking the comments of others very well, and even though I don't know him that well, his fellow staff team members all seem to see a problem and yet no one has said he wasn't capable of being a member again, it takes time to build things back up. The team cant fix his issues only he can. Just like the team couldn't fix mine, but I did. Dawn, I would like to get to know you better, I know no one is perfect and no one should be, these are just miner things you need to work on to become a helper, fix them and reapply, and next time please don't say a time frame of when you are going to apply again. thats not there job, if someone has problems, it is there job to fix there issues.

 

I am glad to help people out with problems that they have to which I have but there are things that are out of our hands.

These two comments should be left out of your decision on him. He admitted that he was lying about getting some action and it shouldn't matter if he likes to have fun with his partner. If he drinks alcohol You are literally saying a vast majority of the team is unfit with that statement. This is a staff position on a video game not a real job so keep life matters out of applications.

I don't know man after all these comments it just seems like you don't have the right attitude, I mean you kind of have a childish mindset and that's not what staff should be looking for.

Apply another time because things are looking grim for you at the moment

you're rude, and can't handle yourself in game. You're a follower, not a leader, you'll turn your back on people in a second. Not trying to be rude, but you're drama, you start it, and you're always in it.

Alright, I'm not one to post on applications, and I don't believe I have had any problems with you in the past but holy god what is going on here. Please explain why everyone is in an all-out war right now. I have never seen a thread that had this... y'know what, i'll stop there.



Since this is my first time writing an actual "review (idk what do you call it)" I'm not sure how to judge this, but here it goes. To me you seem like a good staff, probably one of the more human one's before @CluelessKlutz and @MegaStufOreo, but then I'm reading all these comments and suddenly, you seem to be not what I think you are. I might just be being influenced by all the other comments, but this is insane. Its crazy.


-0.5. When somebody gains my trust, then just completly betray me, I don't get angry as I think I would. I might have some minor anger issues, but its strange how it affects me. Dawn, you have some qualities that the staff may need, but other things, you need to work on. If you just started out, doing all the things you are saying you were doing to become a better staff member, try holding off on your appeal, learn the rules of the game, and whatever you decide to do, whenether its pursue your dream as a staff member or become an astronaut or whatever, its up to you.

+1 You're a genuine person who has a genuinely good heart and cares about others. I think this is what makes you qualified for staff. I just think if you were more of a leader and not a follower you'd be even more fit for this position. Good luck, you deserve this position!

Just remember, if you don't get this position, it's just a game, and what matters more is friends and family. I really believe in you. I believe you can bring back positive thinking to this server with just a bit more leadership. And if you don't know what I mean by "you need more leadership", please DM me.

So I joined the server a while back, and I played when you were staff, and all I remember is, whenever I filed a modreq, I didn't feel fully respected when you accepted it. Also, with you and those rumors, you are 15, NOT older than 18. Why in heck are you drinking? wtf?!?!

This was addressed by many of the past comments on this applications, it was a mistake and I was at a big party with a couple of my friends and it just, happened. It was a lot of fun, in the moment it seemed like a good idea, everyone had been doing it. So i joined in, i had a lot of fun. The events after which i fully regret, and have even addressed fully above. I get your concern about the modreqs, and thanks for that. If i get staff i will work to improve that Ive been telling the 100% truth about what happened, not lying to cover it up. It happened and I regret it.

After what had happend with you and the staff team, I didn't expect you to apply again. you came into terms with some people a while later. I remember you told me that. it's good got out of the bad terms and shows you really want to change. I still see some immaturity from you and even when you were staff, I felt you didn't take it as seriously and you were quite playful (but you were way better than me my first round haha). Staff team is important, and even though you can have your giggles you are volunteering your time to help out the server and make it better, not go laugh around in chat and be immature.

and whatever it is with you sleeping with someone else from meep and spilling the beans on their name, that would be called as immature but if you've resolved it with her and if she's all good with it, that is ok.

I just don't see you as staff, as much as you are a great friend I think you really have to show us what you got and that you can take on any situation without causing a kerfuffle.

edit: i'm sorta leaning to a +1, but if you get interview you really gotta tell staff what ya got in ya bag (sorry did i make that up i dunno if that doesn't make sense lol.)

 

Dawn shows responsibility in a way no one notices. You can call him out on doing bad things, but the thing about Dawn is when does something bad, or makes a mistake, he owns up to it like a responsible human being. It's better to have someone who owns up to their mistakes than someone who denies doing bad things. You have to give him credit for this.
