Meeptimes

Hey, so I was wondering why resignations and demotions wasn't mentioned in the Meeptimes since it's "kind of" important to know who is in and who is out.
I talked to CluelessKlutz about this, and he said that it had been suggested a lot of times but been turned down everytime. He said that it was because the meeptimes are supposed to be a positive thing.
it would make it easier for the players to keep up with whats happening on the staff team instead of having to go search around the forums to find the staff member that left recently.
and if u want it to be a happy thing just thank the people thhat resign
and u can say like"unfortunantely player24 was demoted but we hope to see them work on what was wrong and hope to see them reapply in the future if they have improved etc etc

+1 staff should be more open to share information with the community instead of concealing it in every possible way

 

Some people want to keep it on the more down-low. Thats another reason why.

They don't want a reason, just whether so and so is still a staff member.

 

It is absolutely our business if someone resigns or is demoted As start staff are a major public part of the community. Reasons out not our business but their rank standing is ours.

 

I've been punished by staff because I asked if a staff member was demoted or resigned, not why. It is some staff being unnecessarily protective

 

I can completely understand a staff member who has stepped down or been demoted wanting to keep it private, so sure, don't include whether it was a demotion or resignation and why it happened, just put something like this:

Recent Staff Departures
Person has left the team.
Other person has left the team.
Thank you to both person and other person for your hard work as a staff member.

It keeps it positive for a demotion/resignation section and doesn't give away too much information that resigning/demoted staff member wouldn't want to get out there, but enough for a player to know that the player is no longer staff.

 

If it's not something that's going to be included, nothing stops someone from going to the staff page and copying and pasting the listing... if that's kept up to date.

don't say whether they were demoted or they resigned. Just that they left.
You can't really hide yourself if you were demoted or if you resigned because sooner or later someone will find out ya don't have the tag any more

 

What is with you and the "staff are hiding things from us and they need to be more transparent" conspiracy theories? This is one of the most transparent staff teams I've ever seen on Minecraft.

The playerbase will notice eventually if someone resigns. It isn't a secret, because you're going to find out regardless of how you do. If this is accepted, it should mention no reason, instead, if anyone cares about the reason, leave it to them to find out from the person who resigned or was demoted. +/-

 

look at what's happened now - we have NO idea what is going on with the server being blacklisted - we've asked questions and everyone wants to know what is happening. you guys aren't telling us(i mean you probably dont know since you're a helper but still)

it's like once you become a supermod you are suddenly too good and busy to talk to anyone with a lower rank than you

 

+1 I think this would be beneficial to the community. They deserve to know who is staff and who is not.

 

I know its super difficult to find, but at the very top in big letters it says STAFF.
