Unless something has changed between now and the post "no words", I believe we will be EULA compliant after the server goes back up.

 

I think the idea is nice, but personally, Citizens should get more Meebles then people that have Rank. That way, it would be a reason for Citizens to keep coming back to Meep.

But I would change the amount

Citizen = 50 meebles
VIP + = 25 meebles

It wouldn't be enough to ruin the economy, it's less then what the gold value is, so it shouldn't ruin that either.

That should get past the EULA, since buying a rank would actually net you less Meebles, then if you didn't buy a rank.

They're meebles, not meeples. Also, I think that this would upset rank owners even more, since that would make their donating money to the server not rewarded, but in a sense, punished. That would degrade morale even further and more players would leave Meep.

 

This whole idea is dumb and would act negatively on the server.

Meepcraft gets most of its new players through server websites. The voting system is in place so that Meepcraft gets a higher rank on these server websites; therefore leading to more players seeing it and joining.

Adding a log in bonus would distract people from voting as it would be replaced by this new form of income.

Keep coming up with suggestions though, its what Meep needs!

 

why don't you concentrating on not breaking the rules yourself before you criticize other people for breaking them

 

Rather than meebles I would prefer if we implemented... a SECOND CURRENCY? They should be able to buy exclusive items such as Grappling Hooks, Pets, and notes you would have a VERY low chance of getting from /vote, and you could trade meebles for meeplets, although not vice-versa...?
I feel like this is a bad suggesion I'm making here...

 

I think that this would be as confusing to new players (and old ones) as having 2 economies. I understand what you're getting at, but I think it will do more harm than good in the end. Though I do think that we should have grappling hooks and bushes and such available, I don't believe this is the way to achieve that.

I think the point I was trying to make with paying rank owners less, is because Rank owners already get Perks, Citizens don't have. While it might make some rank owners mad that they would be getting less Meebles, I think the amount I was suggesting, would be a whole 25 meebles difference, shouldn't make anyone mad.

But as maxyman pointed out

there is the voting system, which gives a potential of 4000 Meebles or more when voting daily. So giving meebles just for logging in is kinda moot anyways.

 

You're probably right. I was thinking of a way to bring the two arguments of this thread together. With a way that will get meepers to remove money from the economy, and have a daily log-in bonus system.

 

I agree that any system of this shouldn't be implemented, it would flood the eco with unnecessary money and keep people from voting. But the point about the ranked players, in your scenario, they would be getting less. I do not think the rank owners will care how much, it would be an offence to their expectations that they are getting less than cits, since they are the ones who support the servers. I am not trying to put across any negative sentiment on anyone, but that's how most ranked players would feel. Also it would discourage people from buying ranks "First they take away most perks, and now this". Please understand that I'm not blaming anyone, least of all the server, in this comment.

 

Agreed. The new towns world will become like legacy. The value of money will drastically decrease.

I think that you'll make enough money logging in and doing work like /jobs when the new system is implemented. However, what if this idea can be made into a new user reward cycle. For example, player Bob joins, completes the tutorial, and gets his starting meebles, but then for the next couple days, he also gets a bonus for logging on. It doesn't have to be much, but the idea that the player will get rewarded for coming back can be a good boost to player retention.

 

That's what I'm trying to do here. If players feel like they should log on everyday, they will become more attached to the server and keep wanting to play.

 

I see that, but i also think that at a point, the money for logging on becomes inconsequential for the average player. It would be nice for new players though.
