People fear what they cannot understand. They always have done so. The reason people become homophobes is because they don't understand homosexuality. If they themselves are gay, and don't understand themselves, they fear themselves. They can't confront their own inner demons and angst, and so they take it out on other people of (possibly) the same sexuality

No, as Christians believe god made man and woman. Does that mean all Christians are gay? I am not gay but I also do not care if you are gay. You being gay does not effect my life, my house, my pay check or my family. I do not agree with that life style so I don't live it but I'm not gonna stop someone's human right to love someone. Sometimes gay people can make me feel uncomfortable but many gay people (such as Ellen) you know the classy gay people and not the ones that act as drag queens I'm okay with.

If everyone here is okay with homosexual people because "it doesn't affect my life", then why not be okay with homophobics? Many homophobics keep to themselves and tolerate homophobia but choose not to accept it. No, its stupid to think that all homophobics are gay, some may become homophobic to mask their true feelings but others may be homophobic due to their beliefs or personal preferences.

In our society, or atleast in the one I live in, merely saying anything against the social norm, such as a disdain for a group of people, will literally get you shot. Although I dont agree with people who are homophobic, I can say that I respect them and similar people who have the guts to go against something of such a high caliber.

By generalizing all homophobic people, you're basically doing the same exact thing you're trying to get rid of, prejudice. The thought of "All homophobes are gay" is one of the most stupid, narrow minded things I have ever heard. Just like its good to accept people who are different than you, its also good to accept people who think differently then you do.
