Introduction: Hello, My name is Blue_Marlin but I go by "Blue". I grew up in Florida near the lakes and oceans so I'm always swimming, fishing, boating and enjoying the sun! My name came from the salt water fish "Blue Marlin". It has been a dream of mine to witness someone catch that fish, or for me to catch it myself. My favorite color is blue and my favorite food is steak. Filet mignon to be exact. I am currently a senior in high school and will be graduating this May. I will be furthering my education this year and hopefully have a career in real-estate. Maybe one day you'll see me on HGTV, who knows!

Why should you be Helper? I think I should be helper because...
I am available to get online pretty much anytime I am needed. I have easy people skills. I tend to be able to talk to anyone, especially the new players. I have been playing for a few years now and know my way around the server. I enjoy helping other people solve problems and I enjoy making people happy. I have said this in previous applications and I will say it again, I hate seeing people get banned for something that could have been avoided, I myself used to get banned over silly things and now I feel like I can avoid that problem. I enjoy engaging in conversations and I'm not shy to talk to anyone. As many of you may know I'm pretty active on forums and in global chat. I think I would be a good fit for the team because I'm friendly, and I'm not scared to voice my opinion and I want to make Meepcraft fun and safe for every player.

What are your weaknesses? The tough one,
1.) Arguing. I tend to get into "fights" with people who disagree with me. This is something I have tried to deal with and I will continue to try my best and not get into arguments. I feel like I have done a great job at turning things to forums.
2.) I still am learning. There are many things I still don't know about the server. I ask many people about commands and what not. This is something I need to try and learn as much as I can so I can better assist other people.
3.) Taking things too far. Sometimes I can be political on forums and may say things that will "hurt other peoples feelings". I plan on trying to cool that down and word my opinions in a better manner so I will not offend anyone.
4.) Writing applications, I'm terrible at this and this is not my strong suite. Although I could have had someone help me write my application I didn't want anyone to help me because I wanted it to be "me" and only me, so you know who I am.

Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: I know I have acted immature at times and got into arguments with people. To anyone that I have said mean things to I would like to say I am sorry. I hope that does not effect my chances at becoming a staff member. I look forward to hearing everyone's comments and suggestions on how I can better my weaknesses.

To start off with, please do not reply to everyone who comments, I can see this is starting to go down that path and wanted to stop it early on. To me, this shows signs of desperation, if you want to thank people for their comments, message them privately on forums/in game.

Now for the actual evaluation. As far as I can tell, you're not a bad person, but there are times when I see you get into some very heated arguments with other players. These arguments are mostly made up of just random insults, with no constructive bases whatsoever. As a staff member, you need to know what arguments are worth getting into, and what you should just leave alone. It's equally important to know how to conduct oneself in set argument.
1. Take it to /msg. We don't need to see you fighting with someone over something stupid in global chat.
2. Conduct yourself in a mature manner. If they want to start throwing insults, don't sink to that level, as it makes you no better than them.
3. Know when to walk away. There comes a point when there is no longer a point to arguing. Knowing when enough is enough is important to not let things escalate out of proportion.

From what I can tell, this is the only major issue I have. I enjoy talking to you, and enjoy having you as a part of the community but this is too big an issue for me to overlook. If you need, I will gladly be a person you can come and vent to, but taking it out on global chat isn't working. For now I'm a -1, but please, if this isn't accepted, reapply in the future.

So, one thing to point out. As said before in the previous posts, you seem to get out of control when arguments fire up in Meep global. Of course, you may not be the cause of it, yet you continue on with it, to the point where it gets all out of hand and stuff. People can stop, yet people continue, and thats one of the things that you do. At times, you start to act out a bit immature, but its fine, as its funny, and you play around at times, easy to fix. Its just these arguments that lead you downhill. The app itself is fine, and activity is fine, not much on discord, but that can be fixed easily. I haven't seen you help much people in global. So my vote is neutral.

Thank you Vex, that is a weakness of mine that I am trying really hard on. I will certainly take your advice in an attempt to better myself. I had some help on the last application, these things are good for me but I wanted it to be more original. Thank you for the comments and suggestions

I'm really really really sad I no longer have the in game screenshots since my old hard drive died.
But you were completely toxic and rude, antagonistic, shouting stuff about how i was a horrible staff member, and harassing about how amazing my demotion was, started calling me badmuunkee and in that process either making someone or making your own alt change their name to badmuunkee I don't really know which one of those is true, but you were the one that started it, you made me quit the game that night because you pissed me off. That is NOT how you handle things and if staff start pissing off players, thats how meeps count goes down because people will quit when stuff like that happens.

This ^ was less than a month ago.

You said, and I quote, 'Listen i know you dont like me. Trust me the feeling is more then mutual." to me in a pm - this was on march 4.
Along with this tidbit:

so you cannot handle yourself in a mature pm, clearly, and you can't be the bigger person and say 'hey. Maybe if I shut up, Muunkee won't have a reason to antagonize me because i'm being bloody ridiculous sometimes.'

I'm also not going to throw in, i"m putting a disclaimer here that i'm not annoyed about your opinions themselves, but the way you handle yourself on the debates section is... painful. You keep changing your words and you get sarcastic and pissy when things stop going your way. You call us liars, you called people an idiot on the trump debate, and you get really smartass really fast.

You need a REAL attitude change before you can handle actually talking to people in a serious situation. As of now, I would not want you to handle my modreqs because you do not handle yourself well and honestly, I would not personally trust you, whilst ignoring our personal background. It's just about how you talk and how you do things, I don't think you could handle it without getting angry at something or another.

I knew this would come up, I was actually waiting for you to respond. My last application was over Christmas break, I applied and made it to the interview and got accepted for it, then I got denied. Me and you somehow started to text each other via phone and you brought up my application, after I tried defending you and said how sorry I was that you got demoted. You instantly went on to say how "i would never be a good staff member" and how "i would be good at nothing then modreqs" and I have "bad ideas". We got into a heated argument over the phone and then it moved into discord. Every time I posted something on forums or in global you had a negative comment to say back to me, I messaged you and asked you to please stop and that we didn't need to be friends but can we at least be civil. That's all I wanted and you made it impossible to be civil. Did I act out badly in global? sure? did I act out badly on discord, absolutely. You need to understand that you pushed me so far over the edge that night I was literally shaking from the rude things and mean things you said in those text messages (which I cannot use here). Everyone can clearly see I asked you multiple times to be civil. Of course you wont post the comments you said before that.

This is false, I did not start the "bad Muunkee" and I did not make anyone change their name and or have an alt with that name. I would like proof of that before you accuse me of it.

This was highly inappropriate, everyone can take what they want from it but again @Muunkee I am sorry for ever messaging you, and I am sorry for anything mean I have ever said to you. I believe I messaged you not to long ago trying to make things right with you.

 

Listen, even if all the "Badmuunkee" stuff isn't true, you just aren't at a point where you can be staff.
Every time someone brings up a critique, you say "I'm working on improving". Which is great and all, but you need to actually BE IMPROVED before you get staff. You call people names, belittle them, demean them, and in general act immature, thats not what meep should have in a staff member.

I'm at a strong, bold -1 right now and I rarely do this, but for this application I have to.

No it's not because you are a Trump supporter, no it's not because you are in Legend, but because of your overall negativity and carelessness that you have shown in meepcraft.

I've observed the following things from you and I will share it out with you.

Firstly, too many contradictions and generalizations come from your words. Why? Because, you change what you say every few minutes! Not just on the politics debates, but everywhere else! You cannot contradict yourself as a staff member. You need to work on that Take a second look before you post. Take a third look at what people are asking you, and what they want. No, we are not wanting answers that say "I 100% agree with you", but actual answers, that do not offend people, that makes logical sense.
Have you ever realized that everyone is unique, not just in meep but in the world? Yet you come with dangerous generalizations and hasty assumptions which the server cannot be represented with:

I don't mind what you think about Muslims, but things like this cannot be coming from a staff member, that represents the server. Just no. Do you realize that many people, not just myself, were disgusted by just reading your posts like this? Do you realize that you have contradicted yourself like this many many times? This doesn't directly has to do with the helper job, but it is just scary to have someone with that much fallacies to be a staff member and represent the server.

My second concern is your hostility. Like with @Muunkee , you can get very hostile and angered, too easily. You got "triggered" when a troll was trolling you on a minecraft forum and you started calling him a third grader. Seriously?

My third reason for the -1 is your application. It contains little to no detail, especially in the why section. Applications aren't something that can be written up in half an hour. Have you asked peers to review your application? Have you read this wonderful guide by @Courtneyyy ? Because believe it or not, your application is poor and I do not believe that you will exceed as staff if you are only able to put this amount of effort into the server.

My fourth reason is, how can you stand out from others? How are you a positive to the staff team, besides doing modreqs like an ordinary staff member? The current staff team is large, and we need people that can match or exceed the current staff. How are you going to be a huge positive to this server? I enjoy talking is something that most of us have in common anyway. I want to know more about you, how you stand out and what makes you different from others.

I meant no disrespect in this situation, but I apologize that it came out a little harsh when I added my honesty into this post. However, the reality is that if you want to help the server, if you want to volunteer as a server staff member, you need much more than what you already have.

I'll fully admit i"m an ass, but I'm not the one applying here. Automatically, you have to be able to deal no matter the situation. and I've cleaned up a bit, I'm sure you can, but i stand firm in my vote that it's too early. I believe the same things would be said to me if i were to apply right now, so. *shrug*

You are definitely exaggerating the things I said to you after you applied - I was still staff at that time, i wasnt saying it anywhere near like that. Im rather blunt, but hey, you asked for it. It was never a heated arguement except that one moment on discord. You wanna provide proof? lol

Out of the time I have been back, I have seen blatant toxicity, immaturity, and fights in global with you participating on the side that isn't good. I don't know you that well, but I don't think someone new to the server would want to see this, and I don't think the staff would want to make that general impression.

Bonjour Blue!!

For many of the points, they have already been stated. I do believe after your denial you just let go and didn't care anymore. As @Pmx728 stated you have said "trump is my daddy" several times (but like, why freal though xd). Also to expand on this, just about 2 weeks ago, I had to keep warning you multiple times to stop saying stuff in global.

I don't believe you're ready to be a staff member, for the work and everything. Blue you're a fun guy to be around don't get me wrong but I just can't handle your immaturity sometimes (I'm not one to talk, I know that's what you're thinking) but there is a fine line to where you need to be mature and be fun. Before applying you need to really introspect and take the time to analyze what you'll bring to the team, be a leader, active community member, and show that you can not be toxic.

And also, @junelawnchaired has brought this up on many peoples applications, but I don't see you bringing much to the team as of right now, furthering down the line of you being average. I don't think you help often enough, and the job is more than modreqs. Your "Why" section didn't tell me anything about your qualities that make you stand out as a staff member, and I believe that you really would be average. You seem like the person who just wants to have fun as of right now, and thats fine! That's what the server is for . But if you really want to be a staff member, you have to act like one. Analyze how staff members act, what they do, what qualities they possess and really think to yourself "Do I really want this?" I did for so long, and I kept trying and trying, and here I am. You'll get it one day blue, keep trying, you can do this I believe in you! However, at this time, I am at a -1 for these reasons below

I appreciate everyone's comments and opinions. I know I kinda fell off the deepend from my last interview. What my argument with Muunkee really stemmed from (and that's part of the reason I fell off because I knew what I said would be used against me) I figured it wouldn't really matter anymore and id never get it but I kept seeing people get accepted that were way worse then I could think of being (actually they are banned right now, and have been for a long time yet they got accepted) I will certainly take everyones opinions and comments and put them into action. Thank you for your words of advice.

I don't see you fit for staff at all. You're arrogant, rude, and an absolute pain. Whenever it comes to arguments, you always have something to point out, such as why people hate you or they won't understand.

The commentary towards Muunkee's history is the perfect way to let your chance in an interview disappear. These little "jokes" you make can hurt someone deep inside without you knowing it.
