Eh. I think that analysis lacks any context. In the picture shown it's quite clear Franken wasn't touching her and at a glance it really seems to be a joking photo, which doesn't inherently dismiss it's innapropriateness. and given her own hijinx on that very same tour it seems apparent many sides of the equation were engaged in risque and/or lewd behavior. I suspect if you look at risque or lewd behavior on any number of USO tours, or concerts in general you'd find that it's probably common place.

A quick google search will show pictures of Leeann Tweeden rubbing her butt on people on grabbing butts as well. The caveat being, really, is that Franken if guilty of sexual misconduct and innapropriate behavior, deserves the consequences of those actions. But we see an awful lot on the right or alt-right quick to jump to Roy Moore's defense and excuse any behavior that comes to light. The equation on this simply isn't equal.

In Franken's case, I find it suspicious that the main argument against his actions originated from a source directly implicated in the same behavior. However dozens and dozens of women he's worked with or been around have came out to say they have been treated with nothing but respect.

 

I would not have a clue what's gone on with the investigation between the singer and woman but going from that video there she is conscious enough grind on him and smack his ass back. People are easy to play the victim card when it suits them, I'm talking about what goes on in the video and that alone since I am unaware of any other allegations.

 

The whole sexual assault/harassment thing is way over hyped. If there was an actual experience, it should be reported to the authorities immediately and it should be investigated. The excuse of it being a "too traumatic experience" really doesn't justify bringing it up years later and expecting results out of an investigation/publication.

I'm not advocating for either party at this point. I just think it is ridiculous to see people make allegations of sexual assault that might've happened years ago. I guess people are desperate for attention sometimes.

 

No, real cases aren't always reported right away. It's not even uncommon for them to be delayed. Victims can consider the consequences of their accusations. If they make such an allegation against someone, would they be brought to justice? Do you have enough evidence to even try to make an allegation? Will that one person use their power to get back at you somehow? Is there potential to be harmed if you come clean? As I've tried to explain before, there really is a power dynamic to consider when it comes to these type of situations. We live in a country where people are innocent until proven guilty. In the same way we shouldn't jump to conclusions when someone gets accused of misconduct, we should also keep in mind that people are cautious when it comes to making allegations.

You accuse someone, they don't get in any trouble at all, and now they have a reason to target you.

If there's people in your life who you would want nothing more than to see them in prison for their horrible behavior, what can you do without any evidence? It's highly unlikely they would get in trouble. And now that you've put yourself out in the open, they might legitimately try to harm or target you. That's why it's very common for people to come out in larger numbers and not right when the incident happens.

 

I came back from a year of inactivity to say this. This subject bothers me.

Now I do not know what all you guys’ stories are, and this server is pretty much dead, but one things for certain: this debate is generally one sided.

Women are not the only victims of sexual a/h/rape. As much as you children may agree with that fact, I can assure you you really don’t find it in your hearts to accept it, because most of you are too ugly for it to ever happen to you, or you aren’t a guy.

Men can be sexually assaulted equally as much women. The media makes it seem like women are the only people to get sexually assaulted, and it shapes our society to believe so.

I see Terry Cruz being called a “big p****” and being called “gay” for not fighting another male back when he groped him. That’s just extremely wrong, and shows how stupid some people are.

Size, height, color of skin, etc aren’t factors of why someone has less of a risk of being sexually assaulted. It can happen to anybody.

Now I know I exaggerate things, but this is no exaggeration of a story. I was sexually assaulted in the locker room where a male that I wasn’t that close to (not that it matters I would’ve been equally as violated if it was my friend but the fact I didn’t talk to him didn’t help) was forcefully ripping my underwear off my body, trying to embarrass me in front of everyone in the locker room.

Now that that happened everyone calls me a baby or asks why I didn’t fight back. I’ve never heard a single wow “I feel sorry for what happened to you” or anything of the sort. A lot of people take it as a joke, as well. People always come up to me like “(my name here) why would you let (sa’s name here) pants you? aren’t you bigger than him?”)

If I didn’t change someone’s opinion on this, I hope I let you be more open to men being sexually assaulted (as much as you think you are).

Oh jeez, I hope this is satire. Even without the sexual allegations, Roy Moore is still an incompetent religious zealot. Not to mention the fact that he quite literally wants no separation of church and state. And I mean literally in an actual literal way.

As for everything else, sorry to hear you had to go through this. Male sexual assault is swept under the rug quite often. Although, it likely is more uncommon as well. Women are more susceptible to sexual assault, but that by no means justifies unequal treatment among the two sexes. Problem with today's society is the need to play victim. Groups seen as more "victimized" often get the most attention. It really sucks.

I do wonder, did you try to get help from the school after this happened?
