Fast Easy Towny Change for Pressure Plates

Currently: It seems (and by towny default) pressure plates do not work unless /switch permissions are granted to players or plots.

Suggestion: Change items Wooden Pressure Plate & Golden Pressure Plate to be able to switch without granting permissions.

Why: Just like the wooden button is a default "allow" all to switch, these should be too. It would be useful when making fun games and items for towns. There is basically no drawback.

How: Easy in less than 5 minutes it can be implemented, and would take effect on next server reboot.

In the Towny-Config.yml in the Block/Item/Mob Protection section Switch-Ids line, remove:
WOOD_PLATE and GOLD_PLATE.

Save and reboot. Done!

Just curious; why not stone and iron? Especially since it might be useful to use stone (for its player-only activation)

I'm assuming it's so that you can still use some pressure plates for private purposes on non-switch plots. If all pressure plates are included then you can't use pressure plates personally anymore, they will work for anyone.

 

Yes exactly. Wooden makes sense to be less confusion as "wooden button" is free use for all, and gold cause it the prettiest! That leaves stone and Iron for personal uses and such.

 

@mojang plz add gold and iron buttons and stone/gold trapdoors to 1.14.

This was already answered x2 now (1. because they are prettiest, 2. because wooden is ugly as heck), Also, if you want private things use stone/iron plates and not wooden/golden.
