    My data (is flawless):
    You just have to choose what meep cares about more "bigger land towns" or "more populated towns" (A hybrid system would be best, but towny plugin does not let you do both, you have to choose just one).

    This would cause the complete collapse of all big towns tho. At least in plot numbers.

    Low town upkeep (50)
    Low town taxes (50)
    Residents pay less percent of their bal (1/60)
    Residents hold their plots longer (60 days)
    Plots can be sold faster than they go for sale
    Allows for more plot expansion

    Inversely

    High town upkeep (250)
    High town taxes (250)
    Residents pay a high percent if their balance (1/12)
    Residents stay for a shorter period of time (12 days)
    Plots go for sale faster than they can be sold.
    Towns become ghost towns with lots of unowned plots.

    @Hornemans , how would meep benefit from this or if not, where is the flaw in my logic.

    We know for a Fact that neither of these statements is true for 98% of new players that come to meepcraft (which is who this would affect) most new player barely stay 1 day, 3 a most. The current 100 players that log on daily or a few times a week will not be affected by the increase in prices from 50 to 250. BUT again I am more for the resident tax system as that allows plays (and mayors) to be able to more consistently manager their stay.

    Also, these changes would make towns actually more competitive and we would not have "ghost towns" we would only have "good towns".... with active players.

    Im refering to plot ownership, not resident activity. Higher taxes tend to discourage activity.

    So you telling me 250 meebles a day for a plot is "too much" for a player to pay? Thye can vote in 5 mins for 1 day and get 15k+ meebles easy, which is 60 days of owning a plot (or 15 days for 4 plots)! Quit being lazy!

    Its not the prices that discourage activity, its the inactive towns that discourage inactivity.
