Minigames

Now I know that this isn't a minigames server
but this is ridiculous
Lots of people played minigames, old and new, and it was a good way for newbies to make money
Lots of people came on for the unique minigames, and stayed for the community and towny
I don't know why the minigames have been down this long, but fix it, pretty pleassse.

 

Agreed, I like playing mini games with my Meep friends and I don't want to always go to another server to do it, fixing our mini games and maybe even adding 1 or 2 more in the next 6 months or so might be a good idea.

 

+1 even though we this isn't a mini games server, we have them (or used to). I am kind of upset how long they have been holding this off for...

 

I did this. I joined MeepCraft solely for its hunger games, and I really miss hg.

 

I stayed for TnTrun. I don't care who says it was bad, I loved it. and I really miss boomo more than anything.

 

I just came to Meepcraft to have fun and be apart of a great community. Mini-games, Towny, etc. are making it more fun, but the only 'mini-game' that's playable is Halo.

 

HG was awesome.
I'd just dig straight down, crouch to hide my name, and let everyone to kill each other.
Then the last other person would eventually get tired of looking for me and quit.
I won every time, without fighting at all.

Hmm. Come to think of it, that might be why we don't have it anymore..

...

 

I would just use the ghost kit if there were like only 2-3 other players and quickly make a stone sword as fast as possible then slay the crap out of everyone as they were too busy going "WTF!??"

Any way back onto topic, if we could have more minigames I would really appreciate it as sometimes towny gets boring and you just want to do something quick and fun to kill boredom.


As for a minigame I made one ages ago and I'm sure I posted about it a few times but if you want a stupidly fun minigame that's mostly automated minus some buggy redstone just look up Jree. I tried giving the rights to it to a minigame server after meep rejected my idea as I couldn't figure out how to make the redstone work properly (and I still can't), but those that got to play it when the redstone work loved it a lot as it was stupidly dangerous and exiting. (see dangerous)
I can tell you this about Jree, think a giant jungle tree, that goes from build limit to bedrock, with vines that go down all the way to the bottom, but it's a race to the bottom of it without dieing by jumping off of the vines and clinging to the vines at the last possible second without you know dieing.

 

That sounds like a really fun idea! Just wondering though, where does the redstone come into play?

 

The redstone is for auto starting via a button, which triggers pistons to push you off the edge beyond the vines...or if you want to sacrifice a few blocks just have everyone fall via a piston retracting.

And the uber complicated bit or redstone is having a trip wire hook or something activate the prize system detect the person that got down first without it falsely giving the prize to some random idiot that fell to their death from the very top.
