Baninfo

Allow people to use /baninfo but limited.

A player has the option to do /showbans which will toggle people to do /baninfo on them. Also allow people to look at their own baninfo.

There is a difference between /baninfo and /banhistory. Which are you talking about? The context seems to indicate you mean /banhistory.

 

its about /baninfo that only shows an active ban if there is any.

 

Hah, I know what each command does, but many players confuse the two frequently, as they only had access to the commands for ~30 minutes, at most.

A good example of this is this comment;

 

-1, I honestly don't see the need. I only see this being used to attack other people. I believe that our players should be afforded at least some privacy, especially when it doesn't necessarily involve anyone else, and they "just want to know".

If someone wants to ask if a potential assistant has any bans to be concerned about, you can ask a staff and they can then use their discretion on what to divulge, if anything.

I'd be +1, if you could see your own ban history (or baninfo), but not anyone elses.

In terms of making a plugin for it, I'd rather see other things done.

I mostly care that if a friend is banned i can see if its a perm or not. reason i dont give a cracker about. just for how long.
