Chat Rules

Continuous complaining in chat can be very annoying, distracting and can effect the way you play Meep. Someone players, a few in particular (Not naming names) are constantly complaining and disrupting the Calm, enjoyable flow of chat. I'm not saying complaining altogether should be against the rules, but constant, continuous complaining should be. In my opinion its a type of harassment, that can set the entire server in a bad mood because it is broadcast-ed globally

It should be on fourms but no, it shouldn't be illegal.

 

I think that incessant negativity is probably already covered under the toxicity rule, so I don't see a need to add a rule for this.

Because toxicity is subjective, you're going to see varying levels of enforcement.

 

If its in a nice and constructive manner, who cares. Otherwise its labeled as toxicity which is a ban.

 

This thread is in no way directed at any particular individual starting with A and ending with d who speaks in 3rd person and is currently banned for toxicity. No, voicing opinions should not be illegal.

 

Continuous complaining should never be banned from chat. Sure, it gets on everyone's nerves, but other players complain about server issues in chat and discuss with other players about it. If you think voicing opinions should not be allowed, I'm not going to like you very much now. Everyone has their own opinion, and they can give it to others no matter what. If other people disagree, deal with it. It's your opinion.
If it's constantly negative and nothing else, it's labeled as toxicity. If it's in a mature way, like complaining about server issues or something along those lines, it's not toxicity. As long as it isn't negative, and it's not being disrespectful, it's fine.

 

Let's make a new chat: It can be /c and will only be used for complaints. We can also have it toggled with /talktothehand.

 

Can we replace /tr with that?

 

If you think there is too much complaining in shout just /gtoggle, who cares? Let people complain, it's just opinion or them expressing how they feel.
