A player can, while in towny, currently type /request to tell everyone that he's looking for a town. And it's a great system! However...
Problem
If a player is already in a town and types /request, nothing will seem to happen on the players end. It will look, to them, like they asked to join a town and got no invitations. For a new player who doesn't yet understand the server, this can be very discouraging. On the inviting players end, a message saying "[player] is already in a town" will come up. This can frustrate the person inviting. (I saw a player, today, exclaiming their frustrations about this to the server in global. So yes, it does happen)
Change
I suggest that players shouldn't be able to type /request if they are already in a town. Instead, they should be given the message "You are already in a town!" and another saying "You were teleported to your towns spawn." Obviously accompanied by the player being teleported to their towns spawn. Perhaps there should also be another message with something along the lines of "If you'd like to leave your current town, type /t leave".
Benefits
- New players who don't yet understand the server are informed that they are, in fact, already in a town. They are also teleported to the towns spawn, just like they would be when first joining the town or typing /warp gamma.
- Players on the inviting end will no longer be frustrated; players simply can't use /request if already in a town!
As usual, please leave your own ideas and opinions on this in a comment.
