Add Weather (Player-Toggleable?)

In a nutshell, I believe that weather should be re-implemented into the towny and wild worlds. I understand that this wouldn't be much of a major change, but this can help with certain vanilla-aspects of Minecraft, such as fishing and aesthetics. This will also bring several negative effects, such as client-side eggplant, lightning issues, and other inconveniences. For the client-side lag, I believe that there should be a way to toggle the weather from the players' side, similar to /ptime to only toggle the time of day for the player (/pweather?). In general, I feel that weather would add a nice challenge in certain aspects of the game.

 

I would love this so I can see snow everywhere!

+1 only if it is toggle-able for ranks, and only in Towny. Wild is incredibly slow already with the anti-X-ray plugin, and would put additional strain on the server.

 

Who would toggle weather so that snow would be deposited on the ground?

I guess the effects of the rain/snow would still exist, just the player wouldn't see the physical weather.

Like even if your /ptime is set to day mobs still spawn because the server is night.

Tbh weather was easily toggled anyways via optifine.

I remember my first town, Pigtown. I had cleared a bunch of snow off my plot. I returned the next day and the snow was back. I hated the weather. However I do like Minecraft's rain. +1.

 

I think this would be a good idea. I would love to have this for aesthetic reasons. I am surprised this has not been suggested previously. +1
