I can get easily spend 24 hours playing halo in one day but spawn trapping frustrates me so much. i wasn't sure if i should've put this in the report a player section because it was mostly two players... Okabig and Metr0n0me. I recorded a video of me attempted to even get out of my base but not succeeding at all. Instead of a time oriented spawn protection you could have an area of spawn as a 'safezone' but once you exit it you cant get back in it. here's a video for proof of these annoying chafes.

Seeing as I have not played Halo yet, I probably shouldn't have much of a say in this.

However, this seems as much of a problem as any. It's crucial to have Halo be free from any issues that would influence gameplay for the lesser, this game is probably the one thing that would attract the most players.

I've seen plenty asking, "Where's Halo? I heard they have it in this server??"

Meepcraft may be mostly a Towny server, but Halo is an important aspect as well.

+1, its far too easy to spawn kill. Its nearly impossible to escape the spawn when the enemy are set up.

A spawn boundary or safe zone would be a good idea, it allows players to gather their surroundings.

    there
Should be more than one spot people can spawn just like call of duty or st least you have invincibility for 5 seconds. I went in a halo game for about 20 seconds and got 0 kills and 30 deaths. People have made millions of meebles from this method. Might as well remove halo if you won't fix it.

Spawn killing/camping/trapping is common in almost every map on Halo. I'll admit it right here and now; I'm a big spawnkiller. It's fun to spawnkill, and it gets your number of kills up as well as your kdr for the round. It's a problem, maybe. But can you combat that? Of course. Being spawnkilled is not fun, I know. So how do I prevent that? Throw the grenades once I spawn. It doesn't have to be anywhere specific; if it's in the map shown in your video, you can simply throw a grenade on the floor and wait for it to blow up while you get killed. If a spawnkiller is inside the building at the spawn place, they'll get blown up, thus killing them. If they're outside of the spawn but throwing grenades through the window, throw a grenade out the window if your aim and fast thinking will allow you to. If you have the advantage to walk around without getting killed, run through your spawn building and place grenades. It doesn't matter if you're a grenade spammer or not; grenades are REALLY important to the game. Chances are, your opponents are caught by surprise that those grenades aren't theirs but yours, but they react too late and the grenades explode and they get killed. Of course, once they respawn they'll go right back into yours and start spawnkilling again, but at least if you can prevent it it gets more of your team out of the spawn and not trapped in there forever.

Like in tennis/badminton/volleyball, NEVER have more than 2 people in the same place at once. Whereas in those sports it makes the other team determine better what is a place to hit the ball/shuttle at so much so that your team will miss it because you guys are all clumped into one part of the court, here it makes your team an extremely target and at least one of you will get killed because you guys are traveling in crowds. Once you respawn, GET OUT OF THE SPAWN ASAP. You have so much smaller of a chance of dying once you get out of that crowded, tiny place. And again, if someone's spawn killing inside, start placing grenades immediately as you start walking. It's not that hard; just walk forward while left-clicking with your gun in hand.

Technically you have invincibility for 2 seconds every time you respawn. You only lose that invincibility because you started attacking, otherwise that would give you an advantage over the other team. But I understand, 2 seconds can be rather short. I don't use that because often times I'm still in the middle of shooting when I die, hence my invincibility wears off immediately. It's nearly nonexistent to me for that reason.

Ehh yes and no, it would become more like FFA if that were to happen. Even so, people can STILL spawnkill, because they'll know where the spawn points are and target those areas. It's not idea to make any more than 3 spawn points per team, I feel; it would be all over the place. The maps are built specifically so that there is to be one spawn per team; to give more spawn points is like asking for a new map to accommodate those spawn points.

    ~

Just my input. Don't really know if my tips will help you guys; it definitely did for me. I'm kind of a +/- for stopping spawnkilling; Like, I've spawnkilled in Plex's Castle Siege before, and it was fun and I almost got banned for it at one point. At this point, I don't even think they've solved their problem there yet, rather they'd just put a new rule in the rulebook that if you spawnkill, you get banned. Of course, if that rule was implemented here, that would probably mean staff would have to ban people to no end for spawnkilling, even though they have the legitimate skill to win and decided not to use that.
XChaos hates me for my spawnkilling lol dat n00b won't even leave his spawn to fight me

By different spawn points I meant random, not like 2 or 3 different spots. And like call of duty you can have spawn points change as enemy's are near it. This will reduce spawn trapping.

It's been part of the game for over 3 years--the same maps were in use then as they are now. However, I will say that spawn killing is more of a problem now than it was, mostly because grenades are unlockable and people can use more of them at the same time.

I wouldn't like invincibility, as it would take away an aspect of the game that in all honesty is natural--however, I like the idea of having multiple (2-3) spawn points per team, as it would somewhat mitigate the issue of spawn killers.

This is completed. You can not throw grenades within 10 blocks of your spawn. There is no more spawn protection need at this moment.
