Auctions maybe?

I think Meepcraft is pretty awesome.
But as many of us know, auctions are pretty cool.

I have been asking around and some people have asked a few questions about what auctions were. Here are the results:
Q: How do I auction?
A: This is what this whole tutorial is about. I'll tell you... *takes huge breath*
BASIC AUCTION COMMAND: /auction|auc start|s|(not specified) hand|(not specified) (QTY) (BID) (INC) (TIME) (BUYNOW)
- (not specified) means you don't have to type that, so /auc 1 1 1000 40 1000000 is EXACTLY the same as /auc start hand 1 1 1000 40 1000000.

Q: What happens during an auction?
A: When an auction occurs, this is what appears in the chat:
[JHB] Attention! An auction is beginning!
[JHB] (player) is auctioning (amount) damaged? enchanted? (item) named "(name)" for (time). Starting bid: (BID). Bid increment: (INC). Type /auction info for more details.
[JHB] Item damaged?: (percent) remaining.

Q: How do I bid?
A: It's really simple. Type /bid to bid the minimum allowable bid. Type /bid (amount) to bid a specified amount. Type /bid (amount) (max) to set a maxbid. A maxbid is used so that if someone bids below your maxbid, you will automatically outbid that person until someone bids your maxbid or higher. Type /bid buy to buy the item from the auction IF a buy now is specified.

Q: What's an auction queue?
A: An auction queue is simply a line-up for auctions. In other words, it allows for people to prepare auctions while another is going.
Type /auction|auc queue|q to see the auction queue.


Q: How do I end (cancel) my auction?
A: Simply type /auction|auc cancel|c to cancel your auction. While the auction is going, you can only cancel before the auction is half way over. You can cancel while in the queue - canceling while in the queue removes the auction from the queue, advancing auctions behind you by one.


As you can see, I have spent a while preparing to ask this question. And, well, you get the idea. These are just a few suggestions. I would love auctions for Meepcraft and think they would make the server much better.

 

If it was able to be toggled on/off I'd be fine with it

 

yeah, a toggle command would be needed so I wouldnt be seeing auction spam

 

There's already an auction plugin for skyblock, and the meepshop/vshop is a lot like an auction that goes on forever.

As exodus said: meepshop is basicly auction without chat spam.

Vshop is not auction, people don't bid. Also, you cant sell heads or Ebooks in the Vshop.

 

You can sell mob heads and ebooks on vshop. You can when vshop first came out.

No you can't. The Ebooks just turn into a generic "Enchanted Book" Item, which looks like an Ebook but is unusable and has no actual enchantments, and heads give you an error message.

 

Only if there is a trade channel, and that channel is toggle-able.

 

Or maybe a separate world just for acutions?

 

It takes a lot to make a new world. This seems a wee bit impractical.
